* Partition Sejm ( Sejm rozbiorowy ; 1773 – 1776 )

The so-called Partition Sejm, with Russian military forces threatening the opposition, on September 18, 1773, signed the treaty of cession, renouncing all claims of the Commonwealth to the occupied territories.

On January 13, 1793, Prussia and Russia signed the Second Partition of Poland, which was ratified by the Sejm of Grodno on June 17.

But in 1770, during the times that the Russian Army marched through the theoretically independent Commonwealth, and foreign powers forced the Sejm to agree to the First Partition of Poland, the confederates started to create an image of Polish exiled soldiers, the last of those who remained true to their Motherland, an image that would in the next two centuries lead to the creation of Polish Legions and other forces in exile.

* 5 December 1918 – end of the Partition Sejm, which declared it's wanting of unification with the other partitions in a renationalized Poland and with NRL officially electing its members.

** Chief of state Józef Piłsudski signs decree officially allowing 16 MPs from Prussian Partition to participate in Sejm Ustawodawczy.

* 1 August 1919 – Sejm Ustawodawczy votes on resolution about " Temporary organisation of government in former Prussian Partition " ( O tymczasowej organizacji zarządu byłej dzielnicy pruskiej ), creating Ministry of Former Prussian Partition and plan of gradual unification of Great Poland with rest of country.

The failure of the war precipitated the Second Partition of Poland ( January 21, 1793 ), which after the Grodno Sejm reduced Poland's population to only one-third of what it was before the partitions began in 1772.

to 1726 the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, incorporated into Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth by Sejm in 1726, but on March 28, 1795, it was annexed by the Russian Empire in the third Partition of Poland.

Rejtan is remembered for a dramatic gesture he made in September 1773, as a deputy of the Partition Sejm.

In 1773, in the aftermath of the War of the Bar Confederation, a special session of the Sejm ( Polish parliament ) was convened in Warsaw, capital of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth by its three neighbours ( Russian Empire, Prussia and Austria ) in order to legalize their First Partition of Poland.

That Sejm became known as the Partition Sejm.

Rejtan would remain in Warsaw during the next few years ( the Partition Sejm lasted till 1776 ), but his influence diminished.

His mental health deteriorated ; according to some due to distress with the loss of a part of his homeland, but rumours about his erratic behavior date to soon after the Partition Sejm begun in 1773, before its final motions were passed in 1776.

The Partition Sejm ratified the cession on 30 September 1773.

That Sejm, under duress from Russia and Prussia, ratified the Second Partition of Poland, anticipating the final disappearance of the Polish-Lithuanian state two years later.

He participated in the Partition Sejm of 1773, where he sat on several commissions.

One of the first items on the agenda of the Partition Sejm ( 1773-1775 ), which acceded to the First Partition of Poland, was the disposition of former Jesuit property and ensuring the continuity of the education system.

The British wrested control of the city from the Ottomans during World War I and it was to be included in an international zone under the 1947 United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine.

It was brought under control and followed in 1772 by the First Partition of the Commonwealth, a permanent encroachment on the outer Commonwealth provinces by the Russian Empire, the Kingdom of Prussia and Habsburg Austria.

Much of the territory annexed in the Third Partition of Poland was granted to Congress Poland under Russian rule.

Al-Qubayba was in the territory allotted to the Arab state under the 1947 UN Partition Plan.

From 1564 Zator had been incorporated into the Kraków Voivodeship of Lesser Poland ; in the course of the 1772 First Partition of Poland it was annexed by the Habsburg Monarchy under Empress Maria Theresa of Austria and incorporated into the Austrian Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria.
