The art gallery, the Quadracci Pavilion, was designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.

The MAM recently gained international recognition with the construction of the white concrete Quadracci Pavilion, designed by Santiago Calatrava ( his first completed project in the United States ), which opened on May 4, 2001.

The Quadracci Pavilion was prominently featured in the 2011 blockbuster film Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

In 2001, Miyazawa won the Best Actress Award at the Moscow International Film Festival by portraying a Chinese Kunqu performer in the Hong Kong movie Peony Pavilion, directed by Yonfan.

In 2001, a smaller arena, Cox Pavilion, was added to the complex ; the two arenas are directly connected.

Completed KPF projects in Asia include Plaza 66 on Shanghai ’ s Nanjing Xi Lu ( 2001 ), Roppongi Hills in Tokyo ( 2003 ), the Rodin Pavilion in Seoul ( 2003 ), the Merrill Lynch Japan Head Office in Tokyo ( 2004 ) and the Shanghai World Financial Center ( 2008 ), which was named the “ Best Tall Building Overall ” by the Council on Tall Buildings and the Urban Habitat in 2008.

She returned to semi-retirement after the release of Isolation, but returned once again to films in 2001 with Peony Pavilion, then once again announced her retirement.

During Merrifield's tenure as president thirteen new buildings were constructed on Loyola Marymount's main campus including the Von der Ahe Communication Arts Building, the George Page Baseball Stadium, Doolan Hall, Gersten Pavilion, Burns Fine Art Center, the Laband Art Gallery, the Leavey Faculty Center and the Loyola Apartments.

The Albright-Knox Art Gallery was intended to be used as a Fine Arts Pavilion but delays in its construction saw it uncompleted in time.

Designed for the display of small sculptures at the Third International Sculpture Exhibition in Arnhem ’ s Sonsbeek Park in 1955, Rietveld's ‘ Sonsbeek Pavilion ’ was rebuilt with new materials at the Kröller-Müller Museum in 2010.

Enterprise was moved to New York City in April 2012 to be displayed at the USS Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, whose Space Shuttle Pavilion opened on July 19, 2012.

The Museum has several major permanent exhibits: The Coal Mine re-creates a working deep-shaft, bituminous coal mine inside the Museum's Central Pavilion, using original equipment from Old Ben # 17 circa 1933.

These buildings include the Royal Glasshouses in the grounds of the Palace at Laken, the Japanese Tower, the Chinese Pavilion, the Musée du Congo ( now called the Royal Museum for Central Africa ), and their surrounding park in Tervuren, the Cinquantenaire in Brussels, and the 1895-1905 Antwerpen-Centraal railway station.

The Festival was increased and relocated from Osborne Park with the completion of a Pavilion located behind the Covered Bridge Library and Covered Bridge Museum in 2005.

The Top of Oklahoma Historical Society Museum is located in the Electric Park Pavilion and displays artifacts from the land run, antiques, and local history.

Other attractions responsible for recent popularity and favorable attention to the Scranton area include the Snö Mountain ski resort ( formerly Montage Mountain ), the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins, AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Scranton / Wilkes-Barre Yankees ( formerly the Red Barons ), AAA affiliate of the New York Yankees, and their PNC Field, The Houdini Museum and the Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain concert venue.

In the case of the Polish Pavilion, most of the items were sold by the Polish Government in exile in London to the Polish Museum of America and shipped to Chicago.
