The Southern Railway ( SR ), which had absorbed the LSWR in 1923, offered the LNC the temporary use of Waterloo station to allow the Necropolis Railway service to be continued, but refused to allow the LNC to continue to sell cheap tickets to visitors travelling to and from the cemetery stations other than those involved in a funeral that day, meaning those visiting the cemetery had little reason to choose the LNC's irregular and infrequent trains to the cemetery stations over the SR's fast and frequent services to Brookwood.

The LNC continued to lobby the SR and its 1948 successor British Railways until the 1950s on the matter of cheap fares for visitors to the cemetery, but were unable to come to any agreement.

The locomotive workshops established by the L & CR continued to undertake minor repairs on locomotives in the London area for the LB & SCR and the SR, and also briefly for British Railways.

From San Jose, this route temporarily followed existing Legislative Route 5 ( present Oakland Road, Main Street, Milpitas Boulevard, and Warm Springs Boulevard ) to SR 21 at Warm Springs, and then continued along existing county roads and city streets, now known as Fremont Boulevard, Alvarado Boulevard, Hesperian Boulevard, Lewelling Boulevard, Washington Avenue, 14th Street, 44th Avenue, 12th Street, 14th Avenue, 8th Street, and 7th Street opened on June 11, 1957, connecting the freeway with the San Francisco – Oakland Bay Bridge.

SR 17 used to run from Santa Cruz all the way through San Jose, Oakland ; and then continued north via the Eastshore Freeway ( Interstate 80 ) through Richmond to the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge and San Rafael.

It was renumbered SR 55 in 1959, and the construction of the freeway portion began in the 1960s and continued until 1992.

It was built from the southern terminus of SR 1 ( the Pacific Coast Highway, or " PCH ") and continued northbound on roughly the same route it follows today, following Newport Road ( today Newport Boulevard ) northeast to Tustin, and then Tustin Avenue north to near its current terminus at SR 91.

From here, Route 43 continued east on what is now SR 91 towards Riverside.

SR 1 however continued to be signed along its former ( and current ) alignment, which had not been upgraded to freeway standards.

This route not only extended from San Pedro north to Los Angeles, but continued through the city-built Figueroa Street Tunnels and along the northern extension of Figueroa Street to Eagle Rock, and then followed Linda Vista Avenue ( via an overlap on Route 161 ( SR 134 ) over the Colorado Street Bridge ) to Route 9 ( now I-210 ) at the Devil's Gate Reservoir.

In April 2009, the Orange County Transportation Authority continued to study the extension of SR 57, where the freeway would travel along the Santa Ana River and terminate at I-405 in Fountain Valley.

Old SR 134 continued onto the ramp and then onto what is presently the Ventura Freeway to Orange Grove Boulevard in Pasadena.

Access for occasional goods services to Blackwall and North Greenwich via the North London Railway at Poplar continued until 1968, but with the closure of the docks the line was completely abandoned, leaving only the Fenchurch Street – Stepney section still in use, by the LT & SR.

The SR 74 designation continued into Palm Desert as a city arterial to its northern terminus at SR 111, which has also had its designation removed through Palm Desert.

However, instead of going south and west to Morro Bay, SR 46 continued west to Cambria, and the road via Creston and Atascadero to Morro Bay ( which had since been paved ) became part of SR 41.

US 117, established in 1932, was a renumber of SR 40 between Wilmington and Wilson ; it also continued south of Wilmington into South Carolina.

* Before April 1, 1992, SR 900 continued west ( compass north ) along Martin Luther King, Jr. Way and Rainier Avenue to end at I-90 exit 3.

These efforts continued in his third term when Richard worked extensively with neighborhoods and community interests on the replacement of SR 520 and the Viaduct.

This is due to the pre-freeway routing which began at Interstate 5 at Pacific Ave. SR 16 followed Pacific Ave north into downtown Tacoma, turned west onto 6th St, continued under the current SR 16 freeway, and then turned northwest onto Olympic Boulevard which led to the Narrows Bridge.

The old road continued to Hastings and then to the outskirts of St. Augustine on current SR 207.

A new unprivileged " MOVE from CCR " instruction was provided for use in its place by user mode software ; an operating system could trap and emulate user-mode MOVE from SR instructions if desired.

Some SR systems use " training " where an individual speaker reads sections of text into the SR system.

For this reason, substantial resources are being expended to allow for the use of front-end SR while capturing data within the EHR.

Both SR and PQFT only use the phase information.

Of the noise reduction systems, Dolby A and Dolby SR were developed for professional use.

Drivers heading north on SR 28 are able to exit onto Interstate 66 eastbound, but they must use a one-mile ( 1. 6 km ) stretch of US 29 to access the westbound side of the Interstate.

Likewise, eastbound Interstate 66's Exit 53 only provides access to SR 28 northbound ; one must use Exit 52 and the same stretch of US 29 to reach SR 28 south.

IMAX Corporation has released four projector types that use its 15-perforation, 70 mm film format: GT ( Grand Theatre ), GT 3D ( dual rotor ), SR ( Small Rotor ), and MPX, which was designed for retrofitted theatres.

The railway-related portions of the LNC site ( the waiting rooms, the caretaker's flat and the platforms themselves ) would pass into the direct ownership of the SR, while the remaining surviving portions of the site ( the office block on Westminster Bridge Road, the driveway and the ruined central portion of the site ) would pass to the LNC to use or dispose of as they saw fit.

While most of the LNC's business was now operated by road, an agreement on 13 May 1946 allowed the LNC to make use of SR services from Waterloo to Brookwood station for funerals, subject to the condition that should the service be heavily used the SR ( British Railways after 1948 ) reserved the right to restrict the number of funeral parties on any given train.

The two toll roads that serve the airport, SR 528 ( Beachline Expressway ) and SR 417 ( Central Florida GreeneWay ), use these systems for automatic toll collection.

All Betacam variants from ( plain ) analog recording Betacam to Betacam SP and digital recording Digital Betacam ( and additionally, HDCAM & HDCAM SR ), use the same shape videocassettes, meaning vaults and other storage facilities do not have to be changed, when upgrading to a new format.

Some HDCAM SR VTRs can also use a 2 × mode with an even higher bitrate of 880 Mbit / s, allowing for a 4: 4: 4 RGB stream at a lower compression.

The difference between SR and general relativity ( GR ) is that in GR you can use any metric which is a solution of the Einstein field equations, not just the Minkowski metric.

Distinguishing between the two terms by technology and capability is common, while others distinguish by intended use ( e. g., SR systems are for live event support and PA systems are for reproduction of speech and recorded music in buildings and institutions ).

This section currently does not have an interchange with Florida's Turnpike, so motorists heading north cannot use SR 417 as a beltway around Orlando, although there are future plans to construct such an interchange.

Construction began in 1957 with the first section, mostly north of LAX Airport being completed in 1961 ( signed as SR 7 ) followed by sections west of Interstate 605 within the following few years.

Construction in the early 1990s extended the freeway in sections from US 31 / Business US 31 ( BUS US 31 ) to its current end with US 20 at CR 17, with the portion from US 31 / BUS US 31 to SR 331 ( Bremen Highway ) paved first, by 1991.

The last of the Beachline's free movement sections is between SR 436 and with SR 15 just east of the airport.

In addition, SR 408 is undergoing a massive overhaul, including the relocation of its two main toll plazas, large sections of widening, and expansion of a bridge over Lake Underhill.

Many sections of the current expressway system, such as the connection of SR 528 from Sand Lake Road to I-4, the sections of SR 417 in Seminole and Osceola counties, and SR 429 south of Seidel Road, were built by the Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, and their toll facilities are managed by the same.

Sections of Georgia 316 overlap sections of US 29, US 78, and SR 8.

Over the next several decades, the state completed SR 316 in sections, weaving through the original route of US 29 in order to bypass all communities and business districts, including the congested Atlanta Highway in Athens.

SR 118 has two distinguishable sections, which connect at the intersection with State Route 23.

State Route 84 ( SR 84 ) is a split-section California State Highway consisting of two sections.

The sections of SR 31 on either side of the James River are connected by the Jamestown Ferry.

It would have used short sections of SR 438 and Old Winter Garden Road, connecting between the two using Good Homes Road ( which was at the time a dirt road, and is now paved ).
