Davros emerges as " The Great Healer " of the funeral and cryogenic preservation centre Tranquil Repose on the planet Necros in the Sixth Doctor story Revelation of the Daleks, where he uses frozen bodies to engineer a new variety of Daleks loyal to him, distinguished from the original Daleks by their white and gold livery and slightly changed design.

Set prior to Remembrance of the Daleks in Davros's timeline, but after in the timeline of the Doctor, the latter, accompanied by Bernice Summerfield, together with help from the Sixth Doctor, ensures that Davros will survive the wrath of the Daleks so that he can assume the title of Emperor, allowing history to take its course.

" Up Above the Gods " (# 227 ), a vignette following up on this, features the Sixth Doctor and Davros having a conversation in the TARDIS.

The Sixth Doctor manages to defeat his plans, and Davros is last heard when his ship explodes, an event obliquely mentioned in Revelation.

The Curse of Davros begins with Davros and the Daleks working together to try and alter the outcome of the Battle of Waterloo using technology that Davros has created that allows him to swap peoples ' minds, with matters becoming more complicated when the Sixth Doctor uses the device to swap bodies with Davros in an attempt to subvert the Daleks ' plans from the inside.

* In the Big Finish audio drama Pier Pressure, Evelyn Smythe mentions that although the Sixth Doctor didn't possess a sonic screwdriver, he fondly remembered it as his " door key ".

The Sixth Doctor uses his fingernails as a stand-in for the screwdriver as an escape method in The Nowhere Place.

* The unlicensed fan fiction novel Time's Champion speculates that the Sixth Doctor has re-built the sonic screwdriver.

The Sontarans also appeared in a skit for the BBC children's programme Jim'll Fix It titled " A Fix with Sontarans ", along with Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Janet Fielding as Tegan Jovanka.

A Sixth Doctor Lost Story from the mid-1980s, written by Andrew Smith, it features the Sontarans and the Rutans on ninetieth century Earth, tracking down a scientist named Jacob, who escaped through time and space.

The Doctor attempts to repair the circuit in " Logopolis " and " Attack of the Cybermen ", but the successful transformation of the TARDIS into the shapes of a pipe organ, a painted Welsh dresser ( much to the amusement of Perpurgilliam " Peri " Brown and the Sixth Doctor's annoyance ) and an elaborate gateway in the latter serial was followed by a return to the police box shape.

Troughton enjoyed the return to the programme so much that he readily agreed to appear one more time as the Second Doctor, with Colin Baker's Sixth Doctor in The Two Doctors ( 1985 ).

* In the Doctor Who spin-off novel State of Change, the Sixth Doctor and Peri Brown meet and befriend an alternate version of Ptolmey in a timeline where Cleopatra and Anthony survived thanks to them acquiring a copy of the Doctor's TARDIS console, using the information in its databanks to develop modern technology and weapons centuries ahead of schedule.

This death was presumably caused by flooding of the building, which the Doctor was aware of, and would not have happened any more suddenly than the Sixth Doctor's apparent death by trauma in " Time and the Rani " ( although spin-off media have suggested that the assault on the TARDIS was not the sole reason for the Doctor's death ).

In Big Finish's regular line of Doctor Who audio stories, Ward joined Colin Baker's Sixth Doctor in The Apocalypse Element, in which Romana is Lady President of Gallifrey.

In The Mark of the Rani, the Sixth Doctor whilst attempting to visit Kew Gardens the TARDIS is drawn off course and instead lands in Killingworth during the time of the Industrial Revolution.

When carrying this out during the Luddite rebellion, her operation is co-opted into the Master's attempt at hijacking the Industrial Revolution and killing the Sixth Doctor.

Silurians also feature in the Big Finish Productions audio play Bloodtide ( 2001 ), in which the Sixth Doctor intervenes when Charles Darwin and the HMS Beagle expedition encounter a rogue Silurian group in the Galápagos Islands.

It also features the last appearance of the Sixth Doctor, also portrayed by McCoy for this episode only.

The Sixth Doctor was originally portrayed by Colin Baker, who refused to return for this episode.

The description here of how Event One took place is later seemingly contradicted by the 1985 audio adventure Slipback featuring the Sixth Doctor and Peri.

* The relationship between the Sixth Doctor and Peri is less abrasive in this story than in the previous season.

When he first came on board the TARDIS, the Sixth Doctor was travelling alone, but in Kane's Story ( DWM # 104 ), the Sixth Doctor's television companion Peri Brown returned, apparently placing Frobisher's stories between the unmade Season 23 and The Trial of a Time Lord ( indicated by Peri's changing hairstyles in the comic strip compared to her television appearances ).

In " The Two Doctors " ( 1985 ), the Sixth Doctor claims that Rassilon enjoyed fishing and advocated its practice by Time Lords, but on questioning by Peri, admits he may have just made it up, which can be said to illustrate the Time Lord propensity for pretension which could have obfuscated the truth from the official history.

Somewhere else, the Sixth Doctor and Peri Brown are on a peaceful fishing trip.

When they return to the TARDIS, Peri is startled as the Sixth Doctor is suddenly weak and collapses — just as, back on the station, Jamie spies the Second Doctor in a glass chamber, writhing in agony as a Sontaran manipulates controls.

Peri knocks out her attacker and frees the Sixth Doctor, who saved himself by shutting off his respiratory passages.

The Sixth Doctor explains to Jamie and Peri that what Jamie saw was an illusion designed to make people believe the Doctor was dead and not investigate further ( the animator had been left on and captured Peri's image ), which means the Second Doctor is being held captive somewhere.

The Sixth Doctor asks Peri to create a distraction outside the hacienda while he and Jamie go to the cellar via a passage in the nearby icehouse.

The Sixth Doctor revives Peri, and tells Jamie and her that what he revealed about the Imprimatur in the cellar was not true — he had lied because he had heard Stike approaching.

An American college student ( her passport lists her residence as Pasadena, California ) majoring in botany, Peri is a companion of the Fifth and Sixth Doctors and a regular in the programme from 1984 to 1986.

Peri is present when the Fifth Doctor regenerates into the Sixth at the end of The Caves of Androzani and continues to travel with him, despite the fact that one of the first things the temporarily unstable Sixth Doctor does is try to strangle her ( The Twin Dilemma ).

" Kane's Story " establishes that Peri at one point during her travels with the Sixth Doctor leaves the TARDIS for reasons left unrevealed and goes to live in New York City where she takes a job in an office, a job she angrily quits for reasons also unrevealed just prior to encountering the Doctor again and voluntarily rejoining him.

Bryant voiced the character of Peri in several audio plays produced by Big Finish Productions, alongside both Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor and Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor.

In the audio play Her Final Flight, the Sixth Doctor finds Peri on a remote planet, where she apparently dies of a virus, although it is revealed that the entire story was part of a fantasy designed to make The Doctor kill himself.
