At Acadia University, students have access to the Student Union Building which serves as a hub for students and houses many Student Union organizations.

Other members of the board include people from the university community such as four approved representatives from Dalhousie Student Union, as well as those in the larger surrounding community of Dalhousie, such as the Mayor of Halifax.

The Vice Chancellor offered to do all he could and in 1969 Channell, who wanted to stay on campus and continue his social experiments, was able to persuade the VC to appoint him official University Wizard with a small honorarium paid jointly by the University Administration and the Student Union.

All members of the Graduate Society also belong to the Christ's College Student Union ( CCSU ) and share their canteen-style Upper Hall.

URF also runs a news service which is independent of the control of the Student Union and is bound by legal regulations to remain neutral and unbiased.

The university club teams, which are supported financially by the Student Union as well as by individual members of the teams, do not use the Varsity Reds name and thus continue the tradition of using different nicknames for each sport.

At Padthaway Primary School the Student Representative Council ( SRC ) organises many fundraising activities for students to participate in.

The YCL organises in the Student movement under the name of Communist Students.

The Rindi Student Union, which organises the students, has its own building, called Rindi-borgen.

Aarhus Student House organises social and cultural activities throughout the year, ranging from parties to road trips, to language classes, to weekly international nights ( a popular dinner club ).

Student services organises orientations, valedictories and excursions during term breaks to locations such as Mount Baw Baw, Uluru, the Great Ocean Road and Sydney.

The IRO administers WSCF's income, salaries and fundraising and co-ordinates global WSCF programmes, the IRO administers the Ecumenical Assistance Programme, the Universal Day of Prayer for Students, produces Federation News and Student World maintains contact with national movements and some Senior Friends and organises WSCF representation at meetings of the United Nations, UNESCO, World Council of Churches and other organisations.

The Student Radio Association organises events for its members including the National Student Radio Conference ( where delegates have an opportunity to receive advice and support from industry professionals ) and the Student Radio Awards, a yearly black-tie awards event recognising the very best telent within Student Radio.

All students are automatically members of the University College Student Association ( UCSA ) which organises social and creative activities and is led by the UCSA Board, which consists of six members that are annually elected.

European Architecture Student Assembly was founded in 1981 by architect students like Geoff Haslam and Richard Murphy and is closely related to the Winterschool concept, which organises similar events for UK students of architecture.

The European Capital of Culture is a city designated by the European Union for a period of one calendar year during which it organises a series of cultural events with a strong European dimension.

Keele University Students ' Union organises social activities throughout the year.

The Ladies Golf Union organises a similar range of events for women and girls, most notably the Women's British Open.

The Students ' Union organises various activities including fancy dress discos and a Rag Week, the annual series of fund-raising events, which in the year 2007-2008 raised around £ 80, 000 for various charities including Cancer Research, Barnardos and Leonard Cheshire.

The Union organises one-off events such as Freshers ' Fayre and the Summer Ball.

The Blackrock College Union represents former students of the college, organises many charitable events throughout the year, assists the school, e. g. mentoring, management assistance, advice etc.

The Society organises a variety of events during term-time, including weekly informal Thursday debates at the Queen Margaret Union.

The ITGWU should not be confused with the British-based Transport and General Workers Union, which also organises in Ireland under the name Amalgamated Transport and General Workers Union ( ATGWU ).

The Union also organises the premier club cricket competition in Ireland, the Bob Kerr Irish Senior Cup.
