Idaho is one of only three active ECHL teams to win multiple league championships, alongside the Toledo Walleye ( which was then known as the Storm prior to suspending operations in 2007 to build their new arena ) and the Alaska Aces, each with two.

The Toledo Storm was a minor league professional ice hockey team in the ECHL from 1991 to 2007.

The Storm played their home games at the venerable Toledo Sports Arena along the southern banks of the Maumee River in Toledo, Ohio.

The Storm returned to the ECHL for the 2009 – 10 season as the Toledo Walleye.

The Toledo Storm were founded in 1991, joining the East Coast Hockey League for the 1991 – 92 season as an expansion franchise with two other Ohio franchises, the Columbus Chill and Dayton Bombers, and the Raleigh IceCaps of Raleigh, North Carolina.

The Storm took the first two games of the series at the Toledo Sports Arena 6 – 3 and 5 – 2, before Erie won Game Three 9 – 6 at Louis J. Tullio Arena in the highest scoring game of the 1992 – 93 Riley Cup playoffs.

Wheeling would take the first two games of the series 5 – 3 and 7 – 3, but the Storm would tie the series when it moved to Toledo, winning Game Three 4 – 3 and Game Four 7 – 5.

The Storm returned to the ECHL for the 2009 – 10 season as the Toledo Walleye.

She was the first U. S .- born woman to play professional hockey when she appeared for the East Coast Hockey League's Toledo Storm, and on October 30, 1993, became the first woman goaltender to record a professional victory.

She has also worked at WKVQ, Knoxville, TN ( where she also appeared as a weekend " weather girl " at WBIR television station ), WROK, Rockford, IL, KJYO, Oklahoma City, OK, WXSS / WAMG, Milwaukee, WI, WMAG, Greensboro, NC and WVKS, WWWM, WRVF ( where she was host of the nighttime love songs show, " The Quiet Storm "), and WDMN, Toledo, OH.

They returned in the American Conference, North Division of the ECHL and continue to play their home games at U. S. Bank Arena, joining their two ECHL, Ohio rivals, Dayton Bombers and Toledo Storm.

December 1990 found VFA-82 once again aboard the USS America, participating in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.

Drawing Storm and Wolverine into the tunnels, she witnessed as Storm fought Marrow in a duel that saw the X-Man once more resort to lethal measures to win.

In 2005 and once again in 2007 after being down 2-0 in the best of 5 series, came back home and won the final three games over Lake Elsinore Storm to claim the Championship Series 3-2.

Cloutier's older brother, Sylvain is also a hockey player who once captained the OHL's Guelph Storm.
