The UB is also home to three large research foundations: the Barcelona Science Park Foundation ( PCB ), which includes the Institute of Biomedical Research of Barcelona ( IRBB ); the August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute ( IDIBAPS ); and the Bellvitge Institute for Biomedical Research ( IDIBELL ).

On 7 December 2010, the first hickatee conservation forum and workshop was held at the University of Belize, Belmopan campus presented by the Turtle Survival Alliance ( TSA ), in collaboration with the Belize Foundation for Research and Environmental Education ( BFREE ), the Environmental Research Institute at UB and the Belize Fisheries Department.

The Neil D. Levin Graduate Institute of International Relations and Commerce is a joint program of UB Law with UB's business school.

It contains the Student Union, which houses offices for the Student Association and student-interest clubs ; Slee Hall, which presents contemporary and classical music concerts ; Alumni Arena, the home-court for University Athletics ; the UB Center for the Arts, a non-profit presenter of a wide variety of professional entertainment and UB Stadium, the 30, 000 seat Football Stadium.

Additional facilities include free clinics such as the Kaleida Health's Niagara Family Health Center and the Lighthouse Free Medical Clinic, a program run by UB medical students.

Over 100 UB faculty members from 17 academic departments participate as well as graduate students participate in Baldy Center research and teaching activities.

The Baldy Center and UB Law also publishes the journal Law & Policy.

This competition occurs every semester in the main stage theater of the UB Center for the Arts during the spring time, usually at the end of February or beginning of March.
