In February 2011 during one of three town-hall meetings on the ROTC ban, former Army staff sergeant Anthony Maschek, a purple heart recipient for injuries sustained during his service in Iraq, was booed and hissed at by some students during his speech promoting the idea of allowing the ROTC on campus.

UPEI is located on the former St. Dunstan's campus.

In the estates strategy for 2010-2020 for the University of Manchester it is stated that essentially all of the former UMIST campus, described as the " area north of the Mancunian Way ," is to be disposed of.

The next year, Washington purchased a former plantation, which became the permanent site of the campus.

The home stadium for the University of Connecticut Huskies football team, Rentschler Field, is located adjacent to Pratt & Whitney's East Hartford, Connecticut campus, on Pratt's company-owned former airfield of the same name.

In the 1980s and 1990s, six former Amoco chemical engineers at the firm ’ s Naperville, Illinois research campus developed a deadly form of brain cancer.

There are also two religious university campuses in Canberra: Signadou is a campus of the Australian Catholic University and St Mark's Theological College is a campus of Charles Sturt University.

The St. Olaf College Choir was established as an outgrowth of the local St. John's Lutheran Church, where Christiansen was organist and the choir was composed at least partially of students from the nearby St. Olaf campus.

Brown's main campus is located on College Hill on the East Side of Providence.

Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute also operates a satellite campus in Boone.

Still in Morningside Heights, Broadway passes the handsome, park-like campus of Barnard College.

Established in 1927 near Panama City, on the Florida panhandle, Bob Jones College moved to Cleveland, Tennessee in 1933, and to its present campus in Greenville, South Carolina in 1947, where it became Bob Jones University.

MIT retaliated in April 2006, when students posing as the Howe & Ser ( Howitzer ) Moving Company stole the 130-year-old, 1. 7-ton Fleming House cannon and moved it over 3000 miles to their campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts for their 2006 Campus Preview Weekend, repeating a similar prank performed by nearby Harvey Mudd College in 1986.

In addition to its campus in Hanover, Dartmouth owns of Mount Moosilauke in the White Mountains Region and a tract of land in northern New Hampshire known as the Second College Grant.

Dartmouth's campus buildings vary in age from Wentworth and Thornton Halls of the 1820s ( the oldest surviving buildings constructed by the College ) to new dormitories and mathematics facilities completed in 2006.

The College has actively sought to reduce carbon emissions and energy usage on campus, earning it the grade of A-from the Sustainable Endowments Institute on its College Sustainability Report Card 2008.
