The American Football League ( AFL ) was a major American Professional Football league that operated from 1960 until 1969, when the established National Football League ( NFL ) merged with it.

The Fielders were the only team remaining from the original three merged into the new league but have since folded, meaning there are no longer any Northern League teams remaining in the North American League.
