Chaddleworth is a village and civil parish in the English county of Berkshire.

The parish church sits in the western portion of the village adjoining the manor, Chaddleworth House.

A modest Turkish farming village lies to the southwest of the ancient city.

The village of Ramillies lies near the Mehaigne, a tributary of the Meuse.

The location of this famous battle is now claimed by some to be the village of Great Wratting, in Suffolk, which lies in the Stour Valley on the Icknield Way West of Colchester, and by a village in Essex.

The small church ( dedicated to the Holy Trinity ) that lies to the east of the village closed some years ago.

The village lies at the north end of an arm of Chichester Harbour, a large but shallow inlet of the English Channel.

Originally based on the still-existent village of Inverlochy, the town lies at the southern end of the Great Glen, on the shores of Loch Linnhe and Loch Eil.

Along the coast lies Karfas ( Καρφάς ), a sandy beach, which along with the nearby village of Ayia Ermioni ( Άγια Ερμιόνη ) is now the main tourist centre, with a number of large and small hotels.

The Fraser Valley Regional District lies east of the Greater Vancouver Regional District, and comprises the cities of Abbotsford and Chilliwack, the district municipalities of Mission, Kent, and Hope, and the village of Harrison Hot Springs.

What was originally a self-standing village ( which has now been subsumed within the city ) lies to the north of the toll bridge, originally built by Sir Piers Edgcumbe in 1525, that crossed what used to be the Deadlake or Stonehouse Creek, to the west of Pennycomequick, the south of Stoke village and to the east of Stoke Church.

Puerto Toro lies a few kilometers south of Puerto Williams and is arguably the southernmost village in the world.

Formerly a village in its own right, it lies to the southwest of the city and is bounded to the south by the White Cart Water.

William Whiston, A. M .) book 3, section 48, mentions Akrabbim in this way: " Now as to the country of Samaria, it lies between Judea and Galilee ; it begins at a village that is in the great plain called Ginea, and ends at the Acrabbene toparchy, and is entirely of the same nature with Judea ; for both countries are made up of hills and valleys, and are moist enough for agriculture, and are very fruitful.

Where there was the village of Arse-durgui they built the city of Urgell ( in Latin civitas Orgellia and in Catalan ciutat d ' Urgell ) and here lies the origin of the name Castellciutat.

Veii ( also Veius, Italian: Veio ) was, in ancient times, an important Etrurian city NNW of Rome, Italy ; its site lies in Isola Farnese, a village of Municipio XX, an administrative subdivision of the comune of Rome in the Province of Rome.

Today, it lies near the village of Rocca San Felice in the province of Avellino ( Campania region ).

The Tonga people were forced to leave their homes and fertile lands that had been under cultivation for hundreds of years, although their farming was of the " slash-and-burn " method whereby the villages were abandoned after a few years when the soil became less fertile, the villagers moving to a new patch of bush and building a new village, see " The Shadow of The Dam " mentioned below.

The per-capita income for the village was $ 55, 006, and 8. 6 % of the population is below the poverty line.

Just below the confluence of the river is the old stone bridge with two arches in the centre of the village.

The entrance to Nonsuch Park with its historic mansion ( see below ) is two hundred yards from the village centre crossroad.

In the valley below the village are the ruins of a complex of 3rd century AD Roman tombs and mausolea () connected with the nearby 1st-4th century AD Roman villa excavated 1967-1992 ().

Until the 19th century it was largely rural, with a small village centre ( now Walthamstow Village — see below ) and a number of large estates.

According to the Times, because the village is below sea-level and sinking, the town could be washed away within a decade.

The median income for a household in the village was $ 45, 078, and the median income for a family was $ 52, 143. About 2. 2 % of families and 4. 3 % of the population were below the poverty line, including 2. 5 % of those under age 18 and 4. 0 % of those age 65 or over.

Storm King State Park lies south of the village, and, below that, the United States Military Academy.

No one in the village was below the poverty line.

About 27. 1 % of residents of the village were below the poverty line, including 26. 3 % for White residents, 100 % for African American residents, 0 % for Hispanic and Latino residents, 100 % for Native American residents, and 37. 6 % of residents of two or more races.

When the population dropped below 5, 000, Gallipolis became a village, but continues to operate under its existing city charter.

Further up the river, about six miles northwest of present-day Thorp was the village of Tátxanixsha, and four miles below Thorp was a village of around 400 people called Yumi ' sh.

By the time the returned on 16 April 1806, they reported the village have moved about 300 yards below the spot where it had been located the previous fall, and tended to move with the favored fishing locations.

The High Street of the village has a burn which runs through a culvert below it.

Thurne Dyke, a little further below that, is only deep and can be navigated for to the village of Thurne.

Dr. Zvi Lederman, co-director of the Tel Aviv University Beth Shemesh dig which discovered the seal discussed below, believes that Beth Shemesh, a Canaanite village, was a cultural meeting point on the border of Israelite, Canaanite and Philistine areas and calls the stories " border sagas ", saying that Samson could cross boundaries, seeking a Philistine wife but also fighting and killing Philistines.

The lock is wide but only long, and so is not suitable for many narrow boats, although boats up to long can be turned just below the lock, which is less than from Brandon village.

The village lies in the gap below the castle, and is some eight kilometres ( five miles ) south-east of Wareham, and the same distance west of Swanage.
