The Dutch Windmill Museum is an authentic replica of a Dutch windmill and was created to honor the settlers from Holland that founded Nederland.

Sites of particular interest include: Hakoinen fortress hill and manor house, the latter being privately owned ; St Lauri's ( Lawrence's ) mediaeval stone church ; the Torppari Museo ( authentic wooden village buildings and windmill ) and numerous Bronze Age sacrifice stones, all in Janakkala village.

The 32 acre estate also includes a Carriage house, green house with potting shed, a caretaker's cottage, boathouse, an authentic Dutch windmill and several beautiful gardens.
