Surah and first
The first translation of the Qur ' an was performed by Salman the Persian, who translated Surah al-Fatihah into the Persian language during the early 8th century.
By reciting " The Opening ", the first Surah ( chapter ) of the Qur ' an, as required in all daily worship, the worshipper can stand before God, thank and praise Him, and to ask for guidance along the Straight Path.
But ( as explained by Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi in his Tafhim-ul-Quran under the Introduction to Surah Al-Ikhlas ), when it is said about a certain Surah or verse that it was revealed on this or that particular occasion, it does not necessarily mean that it was revealed for the first time on that very occasion.
The first Surah that was revealed was Surah Al-Alaq ( in arabic ) " العلق " which is also commonly referred to as Surah Iqra ( In arabic ) " اقرأ ". During the first revelation the first 5 verses of this surah, chapter, were revealed. The first word of the revelation, ' Ikra ' meaning ' read ' is significant as the Holy Prophet could not read. The verses spoken by the angel Gabriel were imprinted in the heart of the Holy Prophet ( Sal ). The command ' read ' thus remains a foremost command addressed to every Muslim and this points to the importance of reading, learning, knowledge ... in Islam.
The first eleven verses of this Surah hence mention the desired qualities of the believers, they are blessed and will attain victory.
The first quality as described in verse 2 of this Surah is, " Those who are humble in their prayers "; the Arabic word used to describe the people is ' Khashi ' oon ' meaning those who possess ' Al-Khushoo '.

The reference to iron is in verse 25 of this Surah, which states: "... We sent down Iron, in which is ( material for ) mighty power, as well as many benefits for mankind ...".
Tabari quotes a number of Tabi ' een, who state the verse from Surah al-Rum refers to a gift whereas al-Jawzi quotes Hasan al-Basri as stating it refers to riba.
Surah Aal ‘ Imran Chapter 3 verse 45
