He made them the basis of a report in German which he presented to the Prussian Diet held in 1522 at Grudziądz, attending the session with his friend Tiedemann Giese to represent his chapter.

His relatives were the bishop Tiedemann Giese, and the merchant Georg Giese, who also worked in the Hanse base in London, the Steelyard.
