Entrance to the park by land is through roads both on the north and south of the isthmus.

The Joshua Tree Visitor Center ( Joshua Tree National Park ) is located at the junction of Highway 62 and Park Boulevard in " downtown " Joshua Tree and the parks West Entrance is located five miles south.

The Ramp Creek Bridge which is located south of town at the North Entrance of the state park, and the Bean Blossom Bridge which is 10 minutes north on Covered Bridge Road.

To the south of the Entrance Hall is the Long Hall.

Vancouver Island lies to the south, across Queen Charlotte Sound, while the U. S. state of Alaska is to the north, across the disputed Dixon Entrance.

* Wolf Run Road is entered outside the park from NY 280 ( about 1½ miles south of the Quaker Entrance ).

* Stone Tower Access Road is a loop that runs from ASP Route 1 past the Art Rosco Ski Area ( near Summit Cabins ) ( about south of the Salamanca Entrance ) around Stone Tower and back to ASP Route 1 ( about north of Red House Lake ).

The drawing room leads through to the private entrance, which is composed of a series of rooms leading from the south façade ( with views of the Brindabella Ranges ) through to the " State Entrance Hall ".

All buildings are arranged on the axis anchored by the Solitary Beauty Peak in the order of, from the south, Duanli Gate ( Entrance Gate ), Chengyun Gate ( Palace Gate ), Chengyun Palace ( Administration Building ), Royal Quarters, Imperial Garden and Guangzhi Gate ( Rear Gate ).

According to the United States Geological Survey Geographic Names Information System, the Gulf of Alaska is bounded on the north by the coast of Alaska and on the south by a line running from the south end of Kodiak Island on the west to Dixon Entrance on the east.

It merges with Queen Charlotte Sound to the south and Dixon Entrance to the north.

The electorate stretches from Blue Haven in the north to Wyoming in the south, from The Entrance in the East through the Jilliby Valley

The main door in the south face leads to the Vestibule or Entrance Hall.

The north side of the island forms a portion of the south margin of Ronne Entrance ; the remainder of the island is surrounded by the ice shelves of Stange Sound and George VI Sound.

Bateau Bay is about 6 km south of the town of The Entrance and 17 km northeast of Gosford's central business district.

The main thoroughfare through the suburb is the Central Coast Highway through the north and south, previously known as The Entrance Road.

Lake LaVerne is located west of the Memorial Union and south of Alumni Hall, Carver Hall, and Music Hall.

St Stephen's Chapel, labelled " H of Comm " ( House of Commons ), is adjacent to Westminster Hall ; the Parliament Chamber — labelled " H of L " ( House of Lords )— and the Prince's Chamber are to the far south.

As well as the Hall, Waterhouse built a new range of rooms, Red Buildings ( 1871 – 2 ), in French Renaissance style, designed a new Master's Lodge on the site of Paschal Yard ( 1873, later to become N staircase ), pulled down the old Lodge and the south range of Old Court to open a vista to the Chapel, and finally built a new Library ( 1877 – 8 ) in the continental Gothic style.

Thus the towpath on the Chesterfield Canal changes to the south bank while it passes through the Osberton Estate, as the Foljambes, who lived in Osberton Hall, did not want boatmen passing too close to their residence.

Bishop Hugo de Balsham died in 1286, bequeathing 300 marks that were used to buy further land to the south of St Peter's Church, on which the college's Hall was built.

On the grounds of the cathedral, toward the south, are several buildings ( including a Synod Hall and the Cathedral School ), and a Biblical garden, as well as a large bronze work of public art by the cathedral's sculptor-in-residence, Greg Wyatt, known as the Peace Fountain, which has been both strongly praised and strongly criticized.

To the south of this region is where the neo-Gothic City Hall ( 1889 ) is to be found, as well as the Victoria Law Courts ( 1887 ), the Parliament Building ( 1829 – 1834 ), the large Stabroek Market ( 1792 ) containing the prominent cast-iron clock tower that dominates the city sky line, the Roman Catholic Brickdam Cathedral, City Engineer House, the Magistrate's Court, St. Andrew's Kirk ( 1818 ) and Independence Arch.

The university erected Davison Hall ( home of the university's Professional Aviation program ), the Micromanufacturing Building, and the Biomedical Engineering Building on the south end of the Main Campus along Hergot Avenue.

It is located south of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests and resembles it, but is smaller.

After two years the school became independent, and, in 1940, moved from St. Margaret's Hall to its present site along the south bank of the Boise River between Capitol Boulevard and Broadway Avenue.

In 1713, Hawksmoor was commissioned to complete King's College, Cambridge: the scheme consisted of a Fellows ' Building along King's Parade, and opposite the Chapel a monumental range of buildings containing the Great Hall, kitchens and to the south of that the library and Provost's Lodge.

Caesar's Camp, also called Schapsbury Hill and Shasbury Hill, was a square, Early Iron Age, British ( not Roman ) fort site of c. 500 BC, south of Bath Road, about halfway between Heathrow Road and Hatton Road, and a bit north of due east of Heathrow Hall.
