In 2005, the members of Rocket From The Tombs flew to Germany to headline one night ( The Buzzcocks headlined the other ) of the International Punk Kongress in Kassel ; then, in 2006, they reconvened in Cleveland, Ohio to write material for a new record. This material became the single " I Sell Soul / Romeo and Juliet ", released in 2010, and the full length album " Barfly, released in 2011. In 2007 Chrome played periodic solo shows, including headlining the Road To Ruins festival in Rome, Italy ( backed by Unnatural Axe ).

Another custom mentioned in some Ashkenazi sources and probably originating with Meir of Rothenburg, was to dip the karpas in wine.
His primary teacher was the Tosafist Rabbi Meir of Rothenburg, then in Worms.
The late 12th and early 13th century Rabbi Meir of Rothenburg ruled that in a community consisting entirely of Kohanim, the prohibition on calling Kohanim for anything but the first two and maftir aliyot creates a deadlock situation which should be resolved by calling women to the Torah for all the intermediate aliyot.
There was, however, a gradual movement towards prohibition, mainly initiated by the Medieval Ashkenazi Rabbi Meir of Rothenburg ( the Maharam ).
This announcement was introduced by Rabbi Meir of Rothenburg ( late 13th century ), and endorsed by the Maharil ( Rabbi Yaakov ben Moshe Levi Moelin, early 15th century ).
Together with the Kol Nidre another custom was developed, which is traced to Meir of Rothenburg ( d. 1293 ).
The words " as it is written in the teachings of Moses, thy servant ," which were said in the old form before the quotation of Numbers 15: 26, were canceled by Meir of Rothenburg.

Yehudah Aryeh Leib Alter ( 1847 – 1905 ), also known by the title of his main work, the Sfas Emes, was a Hasidic rabbi who succeeded his grandfather, Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Alter, as the av beis din ( head of the rabbinical court ) and Rav of Góra Kalwaria, Poland ( known in Yiddish as the town of Ger ), and succeeded the Rebbe, Reb Heynekh of Alexander, as Rebbe of the Gerrer Hasidim.

In the eleventh century Rabbi Meir ben Samuel ( Rashi's son-in-law ) changed the original wording of Kol Nidre so as to make the Nusach Ashkenaz version apply to the future instead of the past ; that is, to vows that one might not be able to fulfill during the next year.
An important alteration in the wording of the Kol Nidre was made by Rashi's son-in-law, Rabbi Meir ben Samuel ( early 12th century ), who changed the original phrase " from the last Day of Atonement until this one " to " from this Day of Atonement until the next.
Meir ben Samuel likewise added the words " we do repent of them all ", since real repentance is a condition of dispensation.
