The album garnered the band their first and only No. 1 hit single on the Modern Rock Tracks chart with the title track " Celebrity Skin ".

Perhaps unsurprisingly it failed to chart in the US, however it reached number two on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart.

In 1987, the release of the country-based Love Tracks album gave rise to the hit singles " Love in My Heart " ( a top-10 in Australia ), " Can't Blame the Wreck on the Train " ( US country No. 49 ), and " Eventually ".

The album spawned three additional Top 10 Country hits, including two number-one hits between 1997 and 1998, " Two Pina Coladas " and " To Make You Feel My Love ", which also was a Top 10 hit on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart and was released on the soundtrack to the movie Hope Floats.

Several songs from the album received regular airplay on major North American rock stations, with Hatfield's song " My Sister " becoming the biggest hit of her career, with a # 1 placing on the Modern Rock Tracks chart, and the video becoming an MTV staple.

His second album, 1986's The Secret Value of Daydreaming was panned by critics, but reached number 32 on the Billboard Magazines album chart, and produced the single " Stick Around ", which was his first # 1 single on the U. S. Album Rock Tracks chart.

Lennon never reached the same level of success in the U. S. post-Valotte, but he hit number five in Australia with the 1989 single " Now You're In Heaven ", which also gave him his second # 1 hit on the Album Rock Tracks chart in the USA.

Tracks were structured around the twelve-bar blues on every studio album except one, and the blues directly and indirectly influenced other songs both musically and lyrically.

ZZ Top also holds several chart and album sales feats, including six number one singles on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

The cover was a hit and made it to the top three on the Modern Rock Tracks chart in the US that year.

The first single from Flood, " Birdhouse in Your Soul ", reached number 3 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks Chart and was a top 40 hit elsewhere, including Australia and the United Kingdom.

The other single from the album, " Twisting ", peaked at number 22 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks Chart.

From the album came the radio hit " Teen Angst ( What the World Needs Now )", which peaked at No. 1 on Modern Rock Tracks, and a second single entitled " Happy Birthday to Me ".

" Owner of a Lonely Heart " topped the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart for four weeks, and went on to reach the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, the first and only single from Yes to do so, for two weeks in January 1984.

Tracks that were originally laid down in the demo by Doug Moon are therefore taken up by Cooder's work in the release, as Moon had departed over ' musical differences ' at this juncture.

Berri recorded " The Sunshine After the Rain " initially in Nicks bedroom in Hull with Steven-inspired after hearing his mum playing the original downstairs whilst making breakbeat upstairs-then as a demo at ' Animal Tracks ' Recording Studio in Hull, E. Yorks with Steve Kirkby as producer and engineer, who also played the original backing track and programmed all the beats and sequencer lines.

The group's 12-minute " Acid Tracks " was recorded to tape and was played by DJ Ron Hardy at the Music Box, where Hardy was resident DJ.

" Thuggish Ruggish Bone " peaked at # 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and # 2 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart, and " Foe tha Love of $" peaked at # 41 on the Hot 100 and # 4 on the Rap Tracks.

It included the singles " 1st of tha Month ", which peaked at # 14 on the Hot 100 and # 4 on the Hot Rap Tracks, and " Tha Crossroads ", which reached # 1 on the Hot 100 and Hot Rap Tracks charts.

Tracks appearing on the box set were carefully chosen to represent some of the most popular records sold during the past twenty five years at Rough Trade shops ; these included recordings by Nick Cave, Joy Division and Stereolab.

Steven Page and Ed Robertson returned to writing together, as they did upon the band's formation, but had abandoned following the release of Gordon, Tracks recorded for this album but left off the finished record are: " Trust Me " ( earlier recorded for Maybe You Should Drive but left off the album — included on the Shoe Box EP ) and " Back " ( included on the " Brian Wilson 2000 " single ).
