Ultraman Leo, Ultraman 80 and Ultraman Mebius also used their powers to create a human form to transform into and thus they also would share this same weakness as Ultraseven.

A monster resembling Ultra Seven in black, known as Delusion Ultraseven, appears in Ultraman 80 ( Urutoraman Eiti, 1980 ).

This monster re-appeared in the series Ultraman 80, as Alien Baltan V & VI.

Yamato ’ s attention was attracted to the boy, who questioned them about Ultraman 80, then talked to the contest winners when they returned from their trip, becoming more upset.

Once in the air, the ‘ boy ’ revealed himself as Baltan Seijin V. Now face to face with the alien, the two exchanged words, Baltan revealing he knew Yamato was Ultraman 80 and then showed his battleship arriving on Earth and told the hero Earth would be his.

Yamato had to resort to being Ultraman 80 to challenge save himself and challenge Baltan.

Not that long after Baltan Seijin V ’ s bid to rule the Earth had been defeated by Ultraman 80, yet another of the space invaders would choose to invade mankind.

Ultraman remains until the threat is neutralized and then flies away to revert back to Hayata ( this was shown twice by Ultraman firing a ring of energy from his hands that would fly to safe location and then energy from it would materialize Hayata even as Ultraman fades away at the same time ).

Yet as Ultraman exerts himself, the " Color Timer ," as it is also called, turns red, then blinks — slowly at first, then with increasing rapidity — as his energy reserves get closer to exhaustion.

He then separates them, giving Hayata new life, but Hayata seems to have no memory between the time he first collides with Ultraman's ship ( in the first episode ), and his standing outside Science Patrol Headquarters as he watches Zoffy take Ultraman home.

He then gives Hayata the power-object called the beta capsule, a microphone shaped cylinder device, with which he can transform into Ultraman by depressing a red push-button switch on its side with his thumb to activate it.

*: By focusing energy from his left hand into a spiral energy beam around his right arm, then directing the energy at a target creature, Ultraman can induce a temporal stasis, in effect paralyzing the target.

Ultraman then appeared on the ground, safely standing on his feet.

The original Earth-Three Syndicate made a few post-Crisis appearances, when Ultraman and Power Ring appeared in the Animal Man series and then again in Infinite Crisis when Earth-Three was temporarily recreated and models of the Earth-Three Ultraman, Superwoman, and Alexander Luthor, Sr. were briefly merged with the Superman and Wonder Woman of Earth-1 and the Superman of Earth-Two and Wonder Woman of Earth-2.

A mobster, Jackson " Rat-Eyes " Drake, who failed to follow up on a favor owed was put on " trial " by Owlman, who then had him incinerated by Ultraman as a favor.

The first Ultraman was killed in Crisis on Infinite Earths and Earth-Three was destroyed by an anti-matter storm and then wiped from continuity at the end of the series.

At first it could only transform into human size then later grow into a larger form ( similar to the transformation sequence of Ultraman ).

This was especially shown in episode one of Ultraman Leo when Ultraseven was badly beaten by three monsters and then one of the monsters breaking his right leg.

It seemed Baltan Seijin VI would finally defeat Ultraman 80 as his timer began to flash rapidly but when the invader teleported, 80 remembered how Baltan II had been destroyed and fired an Ultra Slash, slicing Baltan Seijin VI in half right down the middle and destroying the most powerful Baltan Seijin yet, then rescuing the children.

It is then that Ultraman gets up, and when he is on the verge of victory Goudes changes into a virus and travels to Earth, where it mutates other creatures into monsters and awakens existing ones.

Zoffy and Ultraman then fly back to their home world on the Land of Light in the Nebula M78.

Makio then blackmailed Daigo to play games with him and told him to defeat the monster Galra without transforming, and even threatened to reveal Daigo's identity as Ultraman Tiga to the world if he lost or transformed against the rules.

Ultraman 80 then landed and told Mebius that since it was the negative energy that spawned the monster that he would defeat it.

Despite all these amazing powers, Ultraman has one main weakness: Since Earth's atmosphere leeches away his solar energy, Ultraman can only physically exist on Earth for approximately three to five minutes of Earth time.

#* Monsters: Gerugadon, Clone Jimmy-not killed by Ultraman Great, Jimmy took control and flew away together as it bid farewell to Ultraman Great.

Before they were dead long the first five Ultra Brothers, Ultraman, Zoffy, Ultra Seven, Ultraman Jack, and Ultraman Ace, decided to revive the duo for trying to help young children get away from the Choju and to fight off Yapool's forces.

Ultraman 80 comes to Earth as one of the newest members of the Ultra Space Garrison ( it is revealed in Ultraman Mebius that he is the ninth Ultra Brother ), in the form of science teacher Takeshi Yamato.

Now unable to be attacked, Baltan continued his rampage, forcing Yamato to transform to Ultraman 80 and fight, trying to rescue the children.

It is revealed that Captain Oyama knows the real identities of Yamato and Hoshi, and a small celebration is held to appreciate Ultraman 80's and Hoshi's assistance while on Earth.

While Megalon and Gigan are still remembered by fans and reused in many videogames, Jet Jaguar is sometimes seen as more of a joke or a spinoff of Ultraman.

* Ultraman Nexus ( 2004 – 2005 ) is set in 2009, acting as a sequel to the 2004 film Ultraman: The Next which was set in its production year.

In the United States, he is also remembered as the creator of Ultraman.

Ultraman is a follow-up to the television series Ultra Q, though not technically a sequel or spin-off.

Although Ultraman is the first series to feature an Ultra-Crusader, it is actually the second show in the Ultra Series.

To distinguish him from subsequent Ultra-Crusaders, Ultraman is referred to as the, The First Ultraman, or Ultraman Hayata ( a reference to his host's surname ).

One of the members, little did anyone ( even his teammates ) know, gained the ability to transform into a giant birdlike humanoid monster called Bemular ( this is not the same Bemular that Ultraman would fight in Episode # 1 of the actual series ), who defends Earth from monsters, aliens and other threats.

This is a rather different finish to the series than stated in the English dub, which states both that Ultraman will return and that Hayata retains his beta capsule as he awaits Ultraman's return.

This is a rare power, Ultraman only used it once, against Keronia in Episode 31, when the Spacium Ray had failed him.

Note: despite the statement in the show that teleportation is a major drain of his energy, when Ultraman teleported from Planet R to Earth his warning light was still blue, and this was also after having destroyed Baltans on Planet R.

*: This is a basic punch, but since Ultraman possesses super-humanoid physical strength, it " has the power of 50 Indian elephants.

Yet it is possible, as evidenced by the many close calls to Hayata's life, that Ultraman can intercede in some way to protect Hayata's body, presumably in the form of accelerated healing of injuries as Hayata would be injured in some episodes.

Where the Beta Capsule goes when Ultraman is active is not known, but during his first battle with Gomora ( Gohora in US version ) the Beta Capsule was somehow separated from him by a strong attack from the monster.

Zoffy also speaks to Ultraman in the final episode while the two are in Zoffy's TravelSphere, though it is not made clear if this is telepathic.
