In 1984, with their contractual problems resolved, Visage returned for what would be their third and final album to date.

Following this, Ure left the band to concentrate on his work with Ultravox, who were by now becoming even more successful than Visage were.

The song gave international exposure to the underground New Romantic movement when Bowie visited the London club " Blitz "— the main New Romantic hangout — to recruit several of the regulars ( including Steve Strange of the band Visage ) to act in the accompanying video, renowned as one of the most innovative of all time.

In 1978, Egan and Ure formed Visage with lead vocalist Steve Strange, and utilised their new synthesiser when they recorded a cover of the Zager & Evans classic " In The Year 2525 " for promotional purposes.

During Ure and Currie's tenure, Visage had released two successful albums and had a string of hit singles ( the most notable being " Fade to Grey "), but Ure decided to leave in 1982 in order to concentrate solely on Ultravox.

His co-host was Michelle Visage, with whom he also co-hosted on WKTU radio.

The New Romantic scene had developed in the London nightclubs Billy's and The Blitz and was associated with bands such as Duran Duran, Japan, Ultravox, Visage, Adam and the Ants, Bow Wow Wow, Soft Cell, Spandau Ballet, ABC and Culture Club.

Along with acts like Visage and Gary Numan, Ultravox was one of the early influences on Detroit Techno.

Visage, now without Ure, McGeoch and Adamson ( who continued collaborating with Pete Shelley, and joined Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds ) but now with the addition of bassist Steve Barnacle, recorded the stand-alone single " Pleasure Boys ", which was released in October 1982.

Their final release was a Visage VHS video compilation of the band's renowned promotional videos and also included footage of Strange's trip to North Africa the year before.

The first Visage mk II track was released in 2007, entitled " Diary Of A Madman ".

Written by Strange with Visage mk II member Ross Tregenza, the track was co-produced by original Visage member Dave Formula.

The long-since deleted Visage VHS video collection was repackaged for release on DVD in Summer 2006, though it was mistakenly titled Visage Live.

The Visage episode aired on 16 March 2009, and was the first time that the two men had spoken in over 20 years.

The remixes have been included on a new compilation album, The Face-The Very Best of Visage, which was released in March 2010.

Seduction was a female dance-pop, urban contemporary, house, and freestyle trio from New York assembled and produced by Robert Clivillés and David Cole ( later of C + C Music Factory ), consisting of members April Harris ( born March 25, 1967 ), Michelle Visage ( September 20, 1968 ), and Idalis DeLeon ( born June 15, 1966 ).

The group featured lead vocals by Michelle Visage, who was formerly a member of another Clivilles & Cole group, Seduction ( whose debut CD, Nothing Matters Without Love, had been produced by Clivilles & Cole in 1989 ).

During this time RuPaul helped launch the return of WKTU radio in New York City and would serve as host ( with Michelle Visage ) of the morning show until 1998.

While still at Billy's, Strange and Egan joined Billy Currie and Midge Ure of Ultravox to form the band Visage.

In December 2006, the station began increasing the amount of Christmas music, but at the same time saw Michelle Visage being let go and Joe Causi being reduced to weekend duties, relegating him to his Sunday night Studio 54 classic Disco program.

A group of British synthpop bands including Japan, Visage, Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran and Adam and the Ants are often credited with starting the so-called " New Romantic " movement as an offshoot of New Wave.

Ure and Billy Currie had met whilst collaborating on Visage, a studio-based band fronted by New Romantic icon and nightclub impresario Steve Strange.

Encouraged by Visage drummer and mutual friend Rusty Egan, Currie asked Ure to join Ultravox.

Since 1979, Ure and Currie had also been part of the Visage ensemble on a part-time basis whilst simultaneously being in Ultravox.

Currie remained with Visage for a while longer, but he too had left them by 1984.

Visage released their first single, " Tar ", on Radar in September 1979, though the single failed to chart.

In the autumn of 1981 Visage went into the studio again and recorded The Anvil as a five-piece band without McGeoch and only limited guest work from Adamson.

Although still recording, Visage then took a two-year hiatus from releasing any new material due to contractual difficulties with their management company.
