NBC picked up the series in 1989, retooled as Saved by the Bell, with Miss Bliss actors Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Dustin Diamond, Lark Voorhies and Dennis Haskins carried over to the new show ; Saved by the Bell achieved major success on NBC's Saturday morning lineup ( producing two spinoffs in the process ) and in worldwide syndication.

During the same year, Voorhies guest-starred in the season 6 episode of Family Matters, entitled " Home Sweet Home ," as Eddie's upstairs dream girl.

Besides sitcoms, Voorhies also appeared in movies and direct-to-video films.

In 2001 Voorhies played a major role in the film How High as Lauren, a Harvard student.

Voorhies has also appeared in notable music video commercial roles.

Voorhies was formerly in an alternative band named Third Degree.
