* Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, a 1994 platforming video game for the Nintendo Game Boy

Dr. Mario 64, released in 2001 for the Nintendo 64, features Wario and several Wario Land 3 characters, and offers numerous game modes, including a story-focused single player mode.

Unlike Yoshi's Island, it now also features Princess Peach, Donkey Kong, Bowser, and Wario joining Mario as infants.

The Super Mario Adventures graphic novel, which is a collection of comics originally serialized in Nintendo Power, features Wario in two of the stories.

Yoshi, Luigi, and Wario are additional playable characters, and the game features slightly altered graphics, additional stars, courses, touchscreen mini-games, and a multiplayer mode.

Mario Party 4 features eight playable characters: Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Wario, Donkey Kong, Princess Daisy and Waluigi from the Mario series, who can be directed as characters on six themed game boards in the game.

For example, if Wario eats a piece of food from a certain enemy, he bulks up to twice his size, giving him the ability to break strong blocks and extra protection against attacks.

In this game, Wario has to gather four treasures to unlock a pyramid and save Princess Shokora from The Golden Diva.

What form Shokora returns to depends on the number of treasure chests Wario had acquired from the other bosses prior as well as how quickly the Golden Diva is defeated.

This was discovered by ROM hackers, when they found unused tiles and maps from Wario Land 4 hidden in game files in Metroid Fusion.

In addition, crystals from Wario Land 4 ( used as currency in that game ) are found in an unused texture file in Fusion despite not appearing anywhere in game.

The game's plot centers around Wario and his quest to regain his treasure and his castle from Black Jewel, an evil gem.
