In 1955 Waronker wanted to find a term that would capture the spirit, and also perhaps, help to sell such music as was in Liberty's best interest, considering they had just signed Martin Denny, who was producing and recording this kind of exotic music for his first album with Liberty.
Seville named The Chipmunks ( Alvin, Simon, and Theodore ) after Liberty Records executives Alvin Bennett, Simon Waronker, and Theodore Keep, respectively.

Waronker had been hired to produce The Tikis, the Beau Brummels, and The Mojo Men, who were all contracted to the Los Angeles independent label Autumn Records, and he in turn brought in Newman, Leon Russell and another friend, pianist / arranger Van Dyke Parks, to play on recording sessions.
Later in 1966 Waronker was hired as an A & R manager by Warner Bros. Records and his friendship with Newman, Russell, and Parks began a creative circle around Waronker at Warner Bros that became one of the keys to Warner Bros ' subsequent success as a rock music label.
In the summer of 1987 Warner Bros. Records chairman Mo Ostin and label president Lenny Waronker announced the reactivation of Reprise, including its own separate promotions department, and former Warner Bros. Vice President of Promotion Rich Fitzgerald was appointed as label Vice-President.
The recordings came to the attention of Lenny Waronker, producer and executive at Warner Bros. Records.
Anna Waronker has contributed music to soundtracks and released her solo debut album, Anna, in 2002 on her own Five Foot Two Records label ; she released her second solo album, California Fade, in 2011.
