District 3 consists of Adams Township, Fall Creek Township, Jackson Township, Washington Township, Wayne Township, White River Township, Arcadia, Atlanta, Cicero, Sheridan and Westfield.

The library's collection consists of over 250, 000 books, two dozen public computers, a wide array of multimedia options, a large youth services area with a vivid mural depicting Westfield history, and multiple tables and carrels for studying.

The suburb consists of a central area along the top of Doncaster Hill, which includes several historical buildings along Doncaster Road, the Westfield Doncaster Shopping Centre and surrounding high-rise apartments, while the rest of the suburb is typical of many of Melbourne's eastern suburbs, with extensive low-density housing.

Springfield sits at a natural crossroads, at the confluence of four rivers: to the west, the 78. 1 mile Westfield River, ( the Connecticut River's longest tributary river in Massachusetts ;) in the middle, the 418. 0 mile Connecticut River, then known as " The Great River ;" and to the east two smaller rivers: the 18. 0 mile Chicopee River, which featured the fast moving and the Connecticut River's largest water basin ; and also, the Mill River, which would become very important approximately 150 years later after George Washington's foundation of the U. S. Armory at Springfield.

Here the road narrows to three lanes, and runs northeast across Crossington Fields, Westfield Sole, Lidsing, and Bredhurst towards junction 4, where it becomes two lanes.

There is also a walking route between the two stations passing through the newly built Westfield Stratford City Shopping Centre.

In that same year the two medical schools merged to form the School of Medicine and Dentistry at Queen Mary & Westfield College, but Barts and The London has, to some extent, retained its own identity.

Further to this, in 2008 in Sydney, Myer opened two new stores in Sydney at Westfield Eastgardens and Centro Bankstown replacing the former David Jones Limited stores, while David Jones Limited replaced the Myer store in Westfield Burwood, and stated it would open a store in the Stockland Townsville centre in early 2009 which didn't happen due to issues with buying of tenants for the land.

The first two stores were planned to open in 2010 at Westfield Garden City-Upper Mount Gravatt, Robina Town Centre with the third store planned to open in Mackay in 2011.

It revitalised many of its stores, including its flagship Elizabeth Street and Market Street stores in Sydney ( two individual buildings, linked both underground and via air bridge through Westfield Sydney ).

Today, the rowing community is very active through the two Rowing Clubs ( Nereid Boat Club and Passaic River Rowing Association ) and nine high school crews that include Kearny, Belleville, Nutley, Don Bosco Prep, Montclair, Ridgewood, Teaneck, Westfield and North Arlington ( 2012-13 School Year ).

Chatswood has two major shopping centres, Chatswood Chase and Westfield Chatswood.

When stage two opens in 2011, Westfield Sydney will be home to over 330 flagship fashion, food and lifestyle stores across nine floors ( when including the former Sydney Central Plaza ).

In mid-2011, two companies were invited to pitch for the redevelopment: Australian-based Westfield Group and UK-French based Hammerson.
