Wildlife includes brown bears, black bears, the endemic Alexander Archipelago wolf, Sitka black-tailed deer, humpback whales, orcas, five species of salmon, bald eagles, harlequin ducks, scoters, and marbled murrelets.

Wildlife adapted to these harsh conditions includes few large birds or mammals but the desert does sustain many types of lizard including the vulnerable great desert skink ( Egernia kintorei ) and a number of small marsupials including the Sandhill Dunnart ( Sminthopsis psammophila ) and the vulnerable Crest-tailed Mulgara ( Dasycercus cristicauda ).

The island was later converted to a National Wildlife Refuge and now includes of land and over of water area.

Wildlife adapted to this hot, dry environment and seasonal flooding includes the Water-holding Frog ( Litoria platycephala ) and a number of reptiles that inhabit the desert grasses.

The San Luis National Wildlife Refuge Complex includes San Luis National Wildlife Refuge which includes the Kesterson Unit, East Bear Creek, West Bear Creek and the Blue Goose Unit.

The town, in addition to its own smaller state forest, includes part of Borderland State Park at the northwest corner of town, Hockomock Swamp Wildlife Management Area at the southeast corner of town, and all of Wheaton Farm Conservation Area in the southwest.

Wildlife in Randolph includes moose, deer, foxes, porcupines, snakes, and bears.

Wildlife of the mountains includes the endemic Rock Wren ( Xenicus gilviventris ) and the kea, a large parrot that was once hunted as a pest.

Wildlife in the park includes moose, black bears, beavers and otters.

Wildlife in the park includes elk, caribou, moose, mule deer, white-tailed deer, mountain goat, bighorn sheep, grizzly bear, black bear, beaver, Rocky Mountain pika, hoary marmot, grey wolf, mountain lion, and wolverine.

The town is home to Salisbury Beach State Reservation, a park which includes the entire seacoast and a small portion inland, as well as the Ram Island and Carr Island State Wildlife Management Areas, the two islands lying in the middle of the Merrimack ( along with Eagle Island, which is not protected ).

Topsfield also includes parts of the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary, Bradley Palmer State Park, Willowdale State Forest and the entirety of the Topsfield Town Forest.

Administered by the National Park Service, it includes ( in part ) the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, Breezy Point Tip, and Floyd Bennett Field.

The parish is bounded on the west by Alkborough, on the east by Winteringham ( which also includes the Winteringham Haven Wildlife Reserve ) and, to the south, by West Halton.

Wildlife includes, lapwing, curlew, green woodpecker and linnet.

Northern fur seal, Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge

Wildlife on the island includes Gentoo Penguins, South American Gray Foxes ( introduced, not to be confused with the Falkland Islands Wolf ), Peregrine Falcons, Southern and Striated Caracaras, Guanacos, fur seals, and many seabirds.

Wildlife is plentiful in the area, with seals and dolphins being regular harbour visitors.

Wildlife visible from the track include seals, penguins, and herons.

Within the sanctuary are the Farallon Islands and associated National Wildlife Refuge, the sanctuary protects the feeding grounds of the seabirds and seals that breed and haul out on the islands.

Wildlife that can be encountered include cougars, black bears, wolves, orcas and gray whales, seals, sea lions, and eagles.

The name is derived from the Norse selr-øy meaning seal island and is a Scottish Wildlife Trust reserve owing to its international importance for breeding grey seals.

One subspecies, the Masked Bobwhite ( Colinus virginianus ridgewayi ), is listed as endangered with wild populations located in Sonora, Mexico and a reintroduced population in Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge in Southern Arizona.

It is one of the finest Wildlife habitats in Wales and one of the last remnants of a huge dune system that once stretched along the coast of Southern Wales from the River Ogmore to the Gower peninsula.

At the southern tip is the Southern Kamchatka Wildlife Refuge with Kurile Lake.

According to Texas Parks and Wildlife, the following fish have been caught in the bay: Striped Bass, Gafftopsail catfish, Atlantic croaker, Black drum, Red drum, Southern flounder, Barred grunt, Hake, Skipjack herring, Crevalle jack, Ladyfish, Gulf menhaden, Pigfish, Smooth puffer, Sand seatrout, Spotted seatrout, Blacktip shark, Gray snapper, Southern stingray, Gulf toadfish, Tripletail.

The Black Oystercatcher is a species of high conservation concern throughout its range ( U. S., Canadian, Alaskan, and Northern & Southern Pacific Shorebird Conservation Plans ), a keystone indicator species along the north Pacific shoreline, a management indicator species in the Chugach National Forest, and a U. S. Fish & Wildlife Service focal species for priority conservation action.
