The book was written in three months with the help of David Wilson, a local writer and Union College graduate.

Wilson managed to maneuver through the complexities of local politics.

Palmer now resides near his golf course, Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Country Club and Lodge, in Orlando, Florida which was originally designed by Dick Wilson.
