Woodham is a hamlet and civil parish about west of Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire.

Woodham Brothers Ltd is a trading business, based mainly around activities and premises located within Barry Docks, in Barry, South Wales.

The main Woodham Brothers business is today based around these industrial units.

Woodham is a popular residential area within Newton Aycliffe, to the North East of the main part of the town.

The Huntsman Public house is also situated on the same central green, whilst the Woodham Golf and Country Club lies a short way to the North of the main development, on the road to Rushyford.

Woodham is the largest of a number of private housing developments that have taken place since the late 1970s, to the North of Woodham Burn ; which at one time formed a natural Northern boundary to the town of Newton Aycliffe.

Woodham Way is the centre of Woodham containing a row of shops including dentists, takeaways and newsagents.

It is now known as Woodham Middle School.

The school is named for Dr. William Jesse Woodham, Jr., a former Escambia County School District superintendent.

Woodham Middle School is now home of the Woodham Middle Sharks.

Woodham Middle School is a middle school in Pensacola.

West Byfleet railway station serves West Byfleet and Woodham, England, and is on the Alton Line and Waterloo to Woking line, operated by South West Trains.

* On October 1, 1997, Luke Woodham went on a shooting spree that ended at Pearl High School, killing two and injuring seven, after earlier stabbing to death his mother.

Edward Richard Woodham of the 11th Hussars became Chairman of the organising committee for the 21st Anniversary dinner held at Alexandra Palace on 25 October 1875 by the survivors of the Charge.

Sir Brook William Bridge's eldest son Sir Brook William Bridges, 5th Baronet, of Goodneston, had unsuccessfully claimed the barony in 1842, but was instead created Baron FitzWalter, of Woodham Walter in the County of Essex, in 1868 ( for more information on this creation, which became extinct in 1875, see Bridges baronets of Goodneston ).

He attended Heighington CE Primary School and Woodham Comprehensive School in Newton Aycliffe ; at the latter, he was two years ahead of Paul Magrs, who would also go on to write Doctor Who fiction.

During the Second World war the passenger services on the section between Maldon East and Woodham Ferrers line were withdrawn and never reinstated and the.

In 1906 the Great Central Railway built a line through the parish and opened Akeman Street railway station where it crossed the main road at Woodham.

Established in 1892 as Woodham & Sons by Albert Woodham, the company was based at Thomson Street, Barry.

The Louis Woodham Concrete Company, which would provide construction materials for the growing Shalimar area, was established at Dixie Point at the end of Ferry Road by 1956, and would survive into the late 1970s before being replaced by condominiums.

Dai renamed the business Woodham Brothers Ltd in 1953, creating four lines of business under four separate companies, which between them employed 200 people: Woodham Brothers, Woodham Transport, Woodham Marine and Woodham Metals.

In 1965, 65 locomotives had arrived at the scrapyard, of which 28 were scrapped, but the additional volume of Southern rail, wagons and brake vans meant that the autumn of 1965 was the last year that mass-scrapping of steam locomotives occurred at Woodham Brothers.

Dai Woodham continued to purchase steam locomotives until the end of steam, bringing total purchases by August 1968 to 297 locomotives, of which 217 then remained at the Barry scrapyard.

In the late 1970s, Woodham featured a marching band which wore the same style of uniforms as the USC Trojan marching band.

According to Corrective Services Commissioner, Ron Woodham, Skaf has not shown remorse for his crimes.

Woodham also says Skaf has warned prison officers to be careful outside of work, as they may be shot.

The family home, Woodham Mortimer Hall, a 17th century gabled house, has a blue plaque fixed to the hall noting them as pioneering obstetricians.

Had it not been for Woodham Brothers ' scrapyard in Barry, South Wales, no rebuilt Light Pacifics would have been preserved.

Despite the entire class being sold for scrapping, four have survived into preservation, having been rescued from the Woodham Brothers scrapyard in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales.

* October 1 – Luke Woodham walks into Pearl High School in Pearl, Mississippi, and opens fire, killing 2 girls, after killing his mother earlier that morning.

* October 1, 1997: Pearl, Mississippi Two students killed and seven wounded by Luke Woodham, 16, who was also accused of killing his mother.

This was fully reported in the Illustrated London News of 30 October 1875 and included some of the recollections of the survivors including those of Edward Richard Woodham.

He subsequently lived at Bicknacre, Essex, with his mother, his stepfather, a younger sister and two stepbrothers, and attended Woodham Ferrers Church of England School.

Several bus services running from Chelmsford link Danbury with Maldon, Great Baddow, Little Baddow, South Woodham Ferrers, Sandon and various villages around Maldon.

The centre of a civil parish, including the hamlets of Eythrope, Wormstone and Woodham, Waddesdon was an agricultural settlement with milling, silk weaving and lace making enterprises.

From c. 1983 an area of private housing called Woodham Village was built.

It was part of a much larger estate that included Hemenhale and Diss manors, with the hundred of Diss in Norfolk, the manors of Shimpling and Thorne in Suffolk, of Wodeham-Walter ( now Woodham Walter ), Henham, Leiden ( now part of Leaden Roding ), Vitring, Dunmow Parva ( now Little Dunmow ), Burnham ( possibly equating to the modern village of Burnham-on-Crouch ), Winbush, and Shering ( now Sheering ) in Essex.

Nine 9F locomotives survived withdrawal from mainline service, with Evening Star as part of the National Collection, and eight others preserved either through direct purchase from BR, or through Woodham Brothers Scrapyard in Barry, South Wales.

This unique locomotive was saved from being scrapped at Woodham Brothers scrapyard in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales when it was purchased by a group of railway enthusiasts who restored it from scrapyard to as-built condition in 13 years.

The locomotive was purchased by Dai Woodham, though it was initially sent to the wrong scrapyard.

After retrieval, the " Duke " languished for many years in Woodham Brothers scrapyard at Barry Island, South Wales, before enthusiasts purchased the locomotive in 1974, forming the Duke of Gloucester Steam Locomotive Trust.

* Woodham Middle School, formerly Woodham High School, was converted to a middle school following the 2006-2007 school year.

Effective for the 2007-2008 school year, Wedgewood Middle School and Brentwood Middle School students were transferred to Woodham High School, now Woodham Middle School.
