The USS Enterprise NCC-1701E, staffed by its usual crew ( except for Worf, who's on DS9 ), is on a mission from Starfleet command, to assist Lem Faal, a Betazoid scientist, in breaching the barrier which encircles the Milky Way Galaxy.

As the Borg continue to assimilate, Worf suggests destroying the ship, but Picard angrily calls him a coward and vows to continue the fight.

With the advent of the series Star Trek: The Next Generation ( 1987 )— in which one of the main characters, Worf, was a Klingon — and successors, the language and various cultural aspects for the fictional species were expanded.

Worf takes the opportunity to surprise Nero, cutting into the Narada's hull and fighting his way to the main bridge for a confrontation with Nero.

Already prepared for such a tactic, Nero succeeds in surprising Worf by impaling him through the back with a large mechanical tentacle.

The episode " Heart of Glory ", which focuses on Worf and his relationship to other Klingons, is credited with planting " many seeds for successive Klingon storylines ... and new insights into Klingon culture ".

Shortly after the end of the war, Martok and Worf leave DS9 for Qo ' noS (" What You Leave Behind ").

He also reprised his role of Riker for a Next Generation cutaway on an episode of Family Guy that also featured his co-stars Patrick Stewart and Michael Dorn as their respective roles of Picard and Worf.

Worf is later mocked for this, as he had killed a mere clone instead of an enemy that was less replaceable.

However by then she is shieldless and weaponless, so her commanding officer Lieutenant Commander Worf orders the crew to prepare for ramming speed.

The ruse was scuttled by Worf, son of Mogh, who learned the truth and subsequently arranged for the new Kahless II to occupy a ceremonial position as a figurehead “ emperor ” in the Klingon Empire.
