Jùnshì Sanda ( Mandarin Chinese, Military Free Fighting ): A system of unarmed combat that was designed by Chinese Elite Forces based upon their intense study of traditional martial arts such as Kung Fu, Shuai Jiao, Chin Na and modern hand-to-hand fighting and combat philosophy to develop a realistic system of unarmed fighting for the Chinese military.

** Sanda ( Sanshou ) ( Chinese Boxing ) – The applicable component of wushu / kung fu of which takedowns and throws are legal in competition as well as all other sorts of striking ( use of arms and legs ).

The two companies settled out of court but the settlement quickly fell apart, leading to K-Line declaring bankruptcy and selling its assets to Sanda Kan, a Chinese subcontractor who did manufacturing for both K-Line and Lionel.

Sanda University was thus founded on August 11, 1992.
