These three volumes combined include all of the original, unedited Conan stories.

The Gnome Press edition ( 1950 – 1957 ) was the first hardcover collection of Howard's Conan stories, including all the original Howard material known to exist at the time, some left unpublished in his lifetime.

* Robert Jordan chronology — A Conan Chronology by Robert Jordan ( 1987 ) was a new chronology written by Conan writer Robert Jordan that included all written Conan material up to that point.

Conan Doyle wrote four novels and fifty-six short stories featuring Holmes, and all but four stories are narrated by Holmes's friend, assistant, and biographer, Dr. John H. Watson.

The published story was regarded by Robert E. Howard ( the creator of Conan ) as " a masterpiece, which I am sure will live as one of the highest achievements of literature .... Mr. Lovecraft holds a unique position in the literary world ; he has grasped, to all intents, the worlds outside our paltry ken.

* Robert E. Howard's 1935 / 1936 Conan story, The Hour of the Dragon, refers to " racks, boots, hooks and all the implements that the human mind devises to tear flesh, break bones and rend and rupture veins and ligaments.

" The importance, Kirsch claimed, sprung from " a revolution in taste, a return to qualities in fiction which all but submerged in the 20th-century vogue of realism and naturalism " and the importance was such that they were " comparable ... only to the phenomenon of Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes stories ".

Sepe has been featured on more than 100 magazine covers all over the world, on romance book covers, in hundreds of bodybuilding magazine articles, and on such television programs as Inside Edition, the Late Show with David Letterman, The Howard Stern Show, Late Night with Conan O ' Brien, and Hard Copy.

And, in adapting all Holmes stories written by Conan Doyle, Clive Merrison and Michael Williams starred in a production scripted by Bert Coules.

In his Introductory, Meyer's Watson declares that " The Lion's Mane ", " The Mazarin Stone ", " The Creeping Man " and " The Three Gables " ( all Arthur Conan Doyle-written adventures from 1927's The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes ) are forged " drivel ".

The Agreement provided, however, " that nothing in the License should be construed as an assignment or grant to Mattel of any right, title or interest in or to Conan, and that all rights relating thereto were reserved by CPI ( except only for the licensee to use the property as specifically agreed to ).
