Keith John Moon ( 23 August 1946 – 7 September 1978 ) was an English musician, best known for being the drummer of the English rock group The Who.

On Valentine's Day 1974, Moon performed on drums with Jimmy Page, Ronnie Lane, Max Middleton and fellow drummer John Bonham on acoustic guitar for the gig premiering Roy Harper's album Valentine.

Robert Plant asked Page if he had a drummer, and Page said that he was still looking for one, and Robert brought him to see John Bonham in action.
