Spacemen 3 covered " Starship " on their 1987 album " The Perfect Prescription ," crediting it to both MC5 and Sun Ra.

On their 1977 album Ra, American progressive rock group Utopia also adapted " Mountaintop / Sunrise ," in a rock arrangement, as the introduction to the album's opening song, " Communion With The Sun.

Highlights of these include 1975's Timewind, 1976's Moondawn ( his first album to feature the Moog synthesiser ), 1979's Dune, and 1995's double-album In Blue ( which featured one long track called Return To The Tempel with electric guitar contributions from his friend Manuel Göttsching of Ash Ra Tempel ).

The Heliocentric Worlds of Sun Ra, Volume One is a 1965 album by the jazz musician Sun Ra.

The back cover describes it as an " album of compositions and arrangements by Sun Ra played by Sun Ra and his Solar Arkestra ".

The album was originally released as The Heliocentric Worlds of Sun Ra, with a B / W sleeve designed by Ra himself.

Marshall Allen described the recording of the album in John F Szwed's biography of Ra, Space Is The Place ;

A very early example ( 1974 ) of the relation between psychedelic rock and the music that would eventually be known as Goa trance is The Cosmic Jokers ' ( a collaboration between Ash Ra Tempel and Klaus Schulze ) highly experimental and psychedelic album " Galactic Supermarket ", which features occasional 4 / 4 rhythms intertwined with elements from psychedelic rock, analog synthesizers and occasionally tribal-esque drum patterns.

Also Ra Scion has his first solo album known as " Live and Learn " and he announced his new solo album known as " Victor Shade " with producer MTK and it is currently available at his own website, but other online music store will be released sometime in 2010.

The bands Tangerine Dream, Ash Ra Tempel, Sand ( Golem album ) and Cosmic Jokers ( all linked by collaboration with Klaus Schulze ), would follow suit in the years to come.
