Due to the A19 and Clifton Retail Park being within the Ward boundary, Clifton is served by many bus routes.

There are four motorways passing the city ; the A1-Auto-estrada do Norte linking Porto to Lisbon, passing by Coimbra and Leiria, the A8 ( Lisbon-Leiria ) the A17 ( Marinha Grande – Aveiro ) and the A19.

The town is served by two main arterial roads: the transpennine A66 ( east / west ) and the A19 ( north / south ).

The town was bypassed by the A19 in November 1994.

Peterlee is served by two main roads, The A19 runs to the west of the town leading to Sunderland in the north and Teesside in the south, the A1086 runs to the east of the town leading to Easington in the north and Hartlepool to the south.

Close by is Whitley Bridge and the A19 then meets the A645 at a roundabout and its previous alignment to the north of the village, before travelling through Chapel Haddlesey where it crosses the River Aire and the small village of Burn, west of the former RAF Burn, where it crosses the Selby Canal, then before Brayton, it joins the A63.

Caltanissetta is served by the A19 motorway Palermo-Catania, with an exit located on its neighbourhoods, linking town center with a highway.

The village is served by good major road links with the A690 ( to Durham / Sunderland ) and A19 ( to Teeside / North Tyneside ) junctions one and a half miles to the east and the A1M ( to Newcastle / the South ) two and a half miles to the west nr.

Within the first mile after the A19, the road comes to a notoriously bad intersection-which is frequented by a speed camera van on the Eastbound carriageway just outside the Evans Halshaw.

Station Town is easily accessible, by road via the A19 and the B1280.

It passes under the B1222 and meets the A19 at the Fulford Interchange, near the headquarters of Persimmon plc, and is crossed by the Minster Way, then the Wilberforce Way.

The Ward boundary runs from the River Ouse in the west, opposite Acomb Landing, along the back of the Homestead Park and York Sports Club and across the A19 following Water Lane and Lilbourne Drive.

The station is based in Wallsend, North Tyneside at the Silverlink Business Park, near the junction of the A1058 and the A19, 6 miles east of Newcastle City Centre.

The recently-built Quadrus Centre at Boldon Business Park houses entrepreneurial businesses and acts as a gateway to South Tyneside on the main A19 trunk road.

The A1 and A19 trunk roads pass through the vale carrying traffic in a north-south direction and a number of other major roads radiate from York.

Situated away from the town centre towards the A19 is HMP Holme House, a large Category B local prison for male adult prisoners who are either remanded in custody or convicted.

The main roads which cross at Selby are the A63 from Leeds to Hull and the A19 from Doncaster to York, though the A19 and A63 no longer meet in Selby itself since the opening of the Selby Bypass in 2004.

The bypass runs from the A19 at Barlby along the southern perimeter of Selby, joining the A63 at Thorpe Willoughby.

The B1432 runs to the north from the town centre leading to Easington Village, Hawthorn and Seaham on the route of the old A19.

In 2008 the A688 road was extended to the A181 at Running Waters from the A1 ( M ) junction at Bowburn, this created a new trunk road from Peterlee to the A1 ( M ) via the A19, A181 and A688.

The main approach road to Blyth is the A189 " spine road " which is accessible from the A1 via the A19.

Most traffic joins the A19, heading for Teesside, from the A168 at Dishforth Interchange.

Located on the southern flank of Sutton Bank, near Roulston Scar at the edge of the Hambleton table-land, it faces south-south-west and is visible from some distance, particularly from the East Coast Main Line railway south of Thirsk, and from the A19.

With a population of approximately 14, 000, Ryhope is 2. 9 miles to the centre of Sunderland, 2. 8 miles to the centre of Seaham, and 1. 2 miles from the main A19.

The airport is situated off the A67 and is within easy reach of the A1 ( M ), A19, A66 corridors, it is well signposted from all major routes ( sometimes as Teesside Airport ).

The third route ran from the A1 ( M ) junction 65 via the A194 ( M ) and the A19 Tyne Tunnel, to the Wideopen A1 / A19 Junction.

The route of the A1086 starts from the A19 junction in Easington and runs to the A179 junction in Hartlepool via Peterlee, Horden, Blackhall Colliery, Blackhall Rocks, Crimdon and Hart Station.

The main North road out of the village from York was a turnpike and then in the last century became a major trunk route the A19.

About 1½ miles from Osmotherley near the A19 is Mount Grace Priory.
