The county seat is Bay Minette.

In 1900, by an act of the legislature of Alabama, the county seat was authorized for relocation to the city of Bay Minette, however, the city of Daphne resisted relocation.

To relocate the county seat to Bay Minette, the men of the town devised a scheme.

While the law was chasing down the fictitious killer during the late hours, the group of Bay Minette men stealthily traveled the seventeen miles ( 27 km ) to Daphne, stole the Baldwin County Courthouse records, and delivered them to the city of Bay Minette, where Baldwin County's county seat remains.

It hangs in the Bay Minette post office.

The citizens of Bay Minette moved the county records from Daphne in the middle of the night on October 11 – 12, 1901 and delivered them to the City of Bay Minette-where Baldwin County's County Seat remains to this day.

He attended Hillchest Elementary School in Rodeo, where a teacher encouraged him to record a song titled " Look for Love " at the age of five on the Bay Area label Fiat Records.

Grand Bay Water Works also provides limited sewer service for Breitling Elementary School and the business district around the Interstate 10 exchange.

The Center is located on the site of the former Grand Bay Elementary School for Colored, a racially segregated elementary school established in 1919.

Bay Point has many public schools such as Riverview Middle School, Rio Vista Elementary School, Shore Acres Elementary School and Bel Air Elementary School.

Parker is home to Parker Elementary School, The city is part of the Bay County School District.

Local education establishments for Clermont include Minneola Elementary School, South Lake Charter Elementary ( also known as Imagine Schools at South Lake ), Cypress Ridge Elementary School, Lost Lake Elementary, Clermont Elementary School, Clermont Middle School, Windy Hill Middle School, East Ridge Middle School, Lake Minneola High School, East Ridge High School, Sawgrass Bay Elementary and Pine Ridge Elementary.

Coral Reef Elementary School and Southwood Middle School had been located in Cutler before Palmetto Bay incorporated.

The school opened in 2008, reducing class sizes in Ruth K. Broad Bay Harbor Elementary, Ojus Elementary, and Highland Oaks.

Bryant High School also encompasses students from outside the Bayou La Batre-Coden area from neighboring Grand Bay, Alabama, Irvington, St. Elmo, Alabama, and Dauphin Island.

Alba High School first combined with Grand Bay High School in 1998 in the newly built, centrally located Alma Bryant High School, located on 16th Section land ( land dedicated for school purposes ).

Alba Middle ( which was in great part located in portable classrooms and was a part of the high School campus, as was Grand Bay Middle ) took over the high school building, greatly relieving overcrowding.
