County Londonderry was incorporated in 1613 from the merger of County Coleraine with the barony of Loughinsholin ( in County Tyrone ), the North West Liberties of Londonderry ( in County Donegal ), and the North East Liberties of Coleraine ( in County Antrim ).

Carrickfergus is covered by the East Antrim constituency.

As brigadier of the West Belfast UDA Adair was entitled to one of the six seats on the organisation's Inner Council and in this role Adair, who wanted to continue on the path of violence, clashed frequently with East Antrim brigadier Joe English, who advocated seeking a peace settlement.

Adair had been spreading rumours that Gray and John Gregg, head of the UDA South East Antrim Brigade, were both to be stood down as part of his attempts to take full control of the UDA.

Clover is twinned with the Northern Irish town of Larne, located on the East Coast of County Antrim.

The decommissioning was completed at the same time as that of the republican Irish National Liberation Army and the loyalist UDA South East Antrim Brigade.

A somewhat diminished tradition of vernacular poetry survived into the 20th century in the work of poets such as Adam Lynn, author of the 1911 collection Random Rhymes frae Cullybackey, John Stevenson ( died 1932 ), writing as " Pat M ' Carty ", and John Clifford ( 1900 – 1983 ) from East Antrim.

To ensure contests in each constituency, Wesley Robert Williamson changed his name by deed poll to Peter Barry and stood in the four constituencies of North Antrim, South Antrim, East Londonderry and Strangford under the label " For the Anglo-Irish Agreement ".

He opposed the subsequent Belfast Agreement in the May 1998 referendum and his party won five seats in the Assembly elections later that year ( Robert McCartney in North Down, Cedric Wilson in Strangford, Patrick Roche in Lagan Valley, Norman Boyd in South Antrim and Roger Hutchinson East Antrim ).

Together with the neighbouring district of Carrickfergus and part of Newtownabbey, it forms the East Antrim constituency for elections to the Westminster Parliament and Northern Ireland Assembly.

Hill was an active runner with East Antrim Harriers AC ( based in Ballyclare ) for many years.

Coleraine has the headquarters of Coleraine Borough Council which are situated overlooking the River Bann. Overlooking the River Bann The Borough Council area together with the neighbouring district of Limavady, forms the East Londonderry constituency for elections to the Westminster Parliament and Northern Ireland Assembly, despite some of the borough being in County Antrim.

The exception is the Glens of Antrim area, most of which is part of the East Antrim constituency.

In elections for the Westminster Parliament it is split between the East Antrim constituency, the South Antrim constituency and the North Belfast constituency.

The dissident UDA South East Antrim Brigade completed decommissioning by February 2010.

In 1980 Bon Scott, the lead singer of AC / DC, after a night's heavy drinking, was found lifeless in a car outside 67 Overhill Road, East Dulwich.

NextBus provides a real-time passenger information system for all routes for several major transportation agencies including San Francisco Municipal Railway, AC Transit ( which services the East Bay region of the San Francisco area ), Washington DC WMATA, Los Angeles Metro, Boston MBTA, and the Toronto Transit Commission ( TTC ).

Following the termination of streetcar service in 1958, the terminal has seen continuous service as a major bus facility for East Bay commuters ; AC Transit buses transport riders from the terminal directly into neighborhoods throughout the inner East Bay.

AC Transit ( Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District ) is an Oakland-based public transit agency serving the western portions of Alameda and Contra Costa counties in the East Bay portion of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Alongside the likes of AC Milan legend Franco Baresi and Juventus FC's Antonio Cabrini and Gaetano Scirea, he formed the backbone of the national team's defence for much of the 1980s, making his debut on 14 April 1982 in a 0 – 1 friendly loss in East Germany, aged only 18 years and 3 months ; in the victorious World Cup run in Spain, he appeared in three games, including the full 180 minutes in the last two matches.

* The elevated loop at San Francisco's Transbay Transit Terminal, with some modifications to the original design, was used until the terminal's closure on August 6, 2010 by AC Transit buses to drop off passengers and return to the East Bay as the Key System once did.
