In August 2008, First Glasgow ordered a batch of 25 to add to its existing 3-axle Volvo B7L / East Lancs Nordics.

The latest additions to the bus fleet are the Volvo B9TL ( Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 ) double decker buses and the Mercedes Benz Citaro ( O530 ) buses.
Quoted from a press release by SBS Transit on 9 July 2012 stated that, SBS Transit will going to add 1, 000 more buses which consist of 550 Volvo B9TL ( Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 ) double decker buses and 450 Mercedes Benz Citaro ( O530 ) buses by 2015.
They are scheduled for delivery from as early as January 2013. Wheelchair-accessible buses – Mercedes Benz Citaro ( O530 ) buses and Volvo B9TL ( Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 ) double decker buses are used for Bus Service Enhancement Programme ( BSEP ) since 17 September 2012.
