In 1982, an American newsletter about the Kennedy assassination, Echoes of Conspiracy, put Robin Ramsay and Stephen Dorril in touch with each other because of their common interest in the JFK assassination story.

The Independent on Sunday quoted founding editor Robin Ramsay that the magazine ".. always broke even, as I would put the price up if it started losing money.

In his book, Politics and Paranoia, Lobster editor Robin Ramsay criticised Whitney, because he was the head of the Foreign Office's Information Research Department which Ramsay describes as the " State's official, anti-left psy-war outfit ", and had omitted to tell the Commons before denouncing him.

Christopher Robin Milne's stuffed bear, originally named " Edward ", was renamed " Winnie-the-Pooh " after a Canadian black bear named Winnie ( after Winnipeg ), which was used as a military mascot in World War I, and left to London Zoo during the war.

The early compilation, A Gest of Robyn Hode, names the king as " Edward ", and while it does show Robin Hood as accepting the King's pardon he later repudiates it and returns to the greenwood.

The medieval texts do not refer to him directly, but mediate their allusions through a body of accounts and reports: for Langland, Robin exists principally in " rimes ", for Bower, " comedies and tragedies ", while for Wyntoun he is " commendyd gude ".

After this comes " Robin Hood and the Potter ", contained in a manuscript of c. 1503.

In " Robin Hood and the Monk ", for example, he is shown as quick tempered and violent, assaulting Little John for defeating him in an archery contest ; in the same ballad Much the Miller's Son casually kills a " little page " in the course of rescuing Robin Hood from prison.

No extant ballad actually shows Robin Hood " giving to the poor ", although in a " A Gest of Robyn Hode " Robin does make a large loan to an unfortunate knight which he does not in the end require to be repaid ; and later in the same ballad Robin Hood states his intention of giving money to the next traveller to come down the road if he happens to be poor.

In As You Like It, the exiled duke and his men " live like the old Robin Hood of England ", while Ben Jonson produced the ( incomplete ) masque The Sad Shepherd, or a Tale of Robin Hood as a satire on Puritanism.

" They also had songs featured in the movies The X-Files film ( Fight the Future ), Batman and Robin, Tommy Boy and Spawn ( a song called " A Plane Scraped Its Belly on a Sooty Yellow Moon ", a collaboration with drum and bass artist Roni Size.
