He served as both court artist and diplomat and became a senior member of the Tournai painters ' guild, where he enjoyed the company of similarly esteemed artists such as Robert Campin and Rogier van der Weyden.

Facio places him among the best artists of the early 15th century, along with Rogier van der Weyden, Gentile da Fabriano, and Pisanello.

The current collection consists of almost 800 paintings and focusses on Dutch and Flemish artists, such as Pieter Brueghel, Paulus Potter, Pieter Paul Rubens, Rembrandt van Rijn, Jacob van Ruisdael, Johannes Vermeer, and Rogier van der Weyden.

Rogier van der Weyden () or Roger de la Pasture ( 1399 or 1400 – 18 June 1464 ) was an Early Flemish painter.

In 1426 Rogier married Elisabeth, the daughter of a Brussels shoemaker Jan Goffaert and his wife Cathelyne van Stockem.

On his move to the Dutch-speaking town of Brussels, Rogier began using the Dutch version of his name: ' Rogier van der Weyden '.

In general the close stylistical link between the documented works of Jacques Daret, and the paintings attributed to Robert Campin and van der Weyden, are the main arguments to consider Rogier van der Weyden as a pupil of Campin.

At the same time, the first mention of Rogier de Weyden places him as the official painter of Brussels.

Tram lines 55 and 56 from Schaerbeek ( north of Brussels ) that used to use the North-South Axis now terminate at Rogier and nearby Gare du Nord / Noordstation respectively.

Line 25 goes from Rogier to the Boondael / Boondaal railway station following the route of the ex-line 90 from Rogier to Buyl, then leaves the outer ring towards the Université Libre de Bruxelles campus of Solbosch.

This then becomes an important connection in establishing a link between Robert Campin / the Master of Flémalle and his other major pupil, Rogier van der Weyden.

In 2001 Johansson focused on Challengers event and only competed in one ATP tour touranment the 2001 Stockholm Open losing to Andreas Vinciguerra 3 – 6, 6 – 7 ( 4 ), he however reached two semifinals in the challengers in Great Britain F1 and New Zealand F3, two Finals in Germany F2 losing to Jan Frode Andersen 3 – 5 ret and in Austria F2 were he withdrew in the finals against Rogier Wassen, He however won his first tournament in Australia F1 defeating Todd Perry 7 – 6 ( 5 ), 7 – 5 in the finals.
