The Christian thinker James W. Sire defines a worldview as " a commitment, a fundamental orientation of the heart, that can be expressed as a story or in a set of presuppositions ( assumptions which may be true, partially true, or entirely false ) which we hold ( consciously or subconsciously, consistently or inconsistently ) about the basic construction of reality, and that provides the foundation on which we live and move and have our being.

Reviews were once again positive, and Factory were eager for James to record an album with it, but the band believed Factory were purely image-based and left the label, striking a deal with Sire Records.

Attempts to release the album on then-fledgling indie label Barsuk Records fell through due to legal complications, a tour with The Pretenders fell through due to lack of label support, and, just when the band was about to give up, newly-reorganized London / Sire Records released King James Version on September 12, 2000.

Evangelical authorities on cults, like James Sire ( Scripture Twisting, InterVarsity Press, 1980 ) and H. Wayne House ( Doctrine Twisting, InterVarsity Press, 2003 ) indicate that there are a variety of technical errors when Biblical passages are read out of context, misread, and misinterpreted.

On September 24, 2008, Rhino similarly released the four Sire albums as deluxe editions.

A chance meeting with Sire Records executive Pat Horgan at the Bottom Line in New York City led to Tork recording a six-song demo, his first recording in many years.

The tracks were recorded at Blue Horizon House, 165 West 74th Street, home of Sire Records, but Seymour Stein, president of Sire, rejected the demo, stating " there's nothing there.

Several archaic titles of nobility ( e. g., Middle English Sir ( knight ), Old French Sire ( lord ), proto-Slavic Tsar ( monarch ), Biblical Hebrew Sar ( chief ), Akkadian Saris ( court minister ), Old Egyptian Ser ( prince )) derive from the same etymological root, likely Sumerian ( from Sarrum meaning " king "; see Sargon of Akkad ).

Meanwhile, a friend of the group passed their work onto a Sire Records executive in the U. S., who signed them despite the group being unknown.

In 2005, it was re-released and remastered by Warner Music Group on their Warner Bros., Sire and Rhino Records labels in DualDisc format, with one bonus track on the CD side (" Sax and Violins ", from the Wim Wenders film Until the End of the World ).

In the earliest productions of the Grove Play, several restrictions were imposed upon the Sire ( the master of ceremonies ) including that the stage setting be the natural forest backdrop and that the " malign character Care " be introduced in the plot, to wreak havoc with the characters and then be faced down and vanquished by the hero.

A different Sire was appointed for the Cremation, and some concerns were raised in subsequent years that the Cremation of Care was growing into its own secondary Grove Play.

In 2003, the band released the live Raw and Rare through Dim Mak Records, which was followed by their 2004 breakthrough release, Pawn Shoppe Heart, on Sire Records.
