Capdown released their Civil Disobedients album, featuring the track Dub # 1, while Sonic Boom Six and The King Blues take heavy influences from dub, mixing the genre with original punk ethics and attitudes.

In 2004, Sonic Youth released an album called Hidros 3 ( to Patti Smith ).
Front Line Assembly made the soundtrack for the expansion ; the counterpart to Sonic Mayhem's Quake 3 Arena: Noize.
After the completion of Sonic 2, Yuji Naka made the final decision to only allow the Japanese members in the core development team to work on Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
