Capdown released their Civil Disobedients album, featuring the track Dub # 1, while Sonic Boom Six and The King Blues take heavy influences from dub, mixing the genre with original punk ethics and attitudes.

The story arc took place in issues # 79-84 and Sonic Super Special # 13, originally published from November 1999 to May 2000.

Selected portions of these issues ( with the exception of issue # 79 ) were reprinted in Archie's Sonic Super Special Magazine # 2 ( February 2012 ).

In 2004, Sonic Youth released an album called Hidros 3 ( to Patti Smith ).

Front Line Assembly made the soundtrack for the expansion ; the counterpart to Sonic Mayhem's Quake 3 Arena: Noize.

After the completion of Sonic 2, Yuji Naka made the final decision to only allow the Japanese members in the core development team to work on Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

Following the completion of Sonic 3 and Knuckles, Yuji Naka was offered the role of producer at Sega of Japan.

Development is spread out across Sonic Team and Dimps with a HD version for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows and a strict 2D version for the Nintendo 3DS being produced respectively.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles were again developed by Sonic Team in the US, but this time with some of STI's musicians contributing to the score.

This later design has gained the nickname " Series 3-4 Sonic " ( relating to the fact that at the start of Series 3, in " Smith and Jones ", the first Sonic Screwdriver was supposedly destroyed ), even though strictly speaking it first appeared in Series 4.

Sonic Stage 4 allows download of ATRAC Advanced Lossless to Minidisc Players, PlayStation Portable, and PlayStation 3.

The video games Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Sonic & Knuckles contain plotlines centered around the " Death Egg ", a space station resembling the Death Star, though altered to feature the face of series villain Doctor Robotnik.

Knuckles made his debut in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 for the Sega Mega Drive and Sega Genesis.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles were originally to be released as one game.

When Sonic 3 is used in this manner, it enables the player to play through both games all at once.

This features several additions to the games not available otherwise, such as small alterations to the levels, and being able to play through Sonic 3 levels as Knuckles, or Sonic & Knuckles levels as Tails.

Yuji Naka and Hirokazu Yasuhara were mainly responsible for the Sonic 3 design document and project schedule.

Sonic 3 was released in the US on February 2, 1994, dubbed " Hedgehog Day ", a reference to Groundhog Day.

In Europe, Sonic 3 was released on February 24, 1994.

It is the first multiplatform title in the Sonic series, developed for Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox and released in Japan in December 2003, in North America in January 2004 and in Europe in February 2004, later receiving a release for Windows in November 2004.

Triple Threat: Sonic Heroes Vocal Trax, which includes the original vocal theme songs from the Sonic Adventure game soundtrack, was released in Japan on February 4, 2004.

In February 2002, the name of the band changed from Sonic Bloom to Tin Foil Phoenix because of legal concerns over the name expressed by their international label affiliate, Roadrunner Records.

Their newest music video, Needing / Getting, released February 5th, 2012, already has 20 million hits on YouTube and is part of a Chevy Sonic commercial.

The Nintendo GameCube adaption of Sonic Adventure 2, called Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, was released on December 10, 2001 in Japan, February 12, 2002 in North America, and on the GameCube's launch ( May 3, 2002 ) in Europe, making it the first in the series to be released for the Nintendo system.

DevilDriver's fifth album Beast was recorded at Sonic Ranch studios in Tornillo, Texas with producer Mark Lewis, and released February 22, 2011.
