In September 2001, Capdown released their second album, Pound for the Sound, receiving positive reviews from Kerrang!

Since their first gig in their hometown of Derby in 1998, the band have been on tour with Capdown, Mad Caddies, Goldfinger, Slow Gherkin, 311, Mustard Plug, Big D and the Kids Table, Save Ferris, Nerf Herder, The Peacocks, Link 80 and Suicide Machines.

Lightyear entered the studio in April 2003 to begin work on the highly anticipated second album – oddly entitled Chris Gentlemens Hairdresser and Railway Book Shop ( named after the establishment in Derby where band member Neil Draycott in particular – who is bald – supposedly has his hair cut ) – with top UK producer Dave Chang ( Capdown, 4ft Fingers, Consumed, earthtone9 ).

With Ryan, Link 80 recorded the album The Struggle Continues as well as some b-sides that appeared on various compilations in 1999 and toured numerous times with such bands as Capdown and MU330.

Boom in the Diamond Industry, Captain Everything, Shootin ' Goon, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly and Capdown all supported.

Following the original demise of Capdown, both Goold and Macdonald worked on a new band, The Maccalites, alongside Simon Wells from Snuff / Southport.

Later that year, the band headlined the Slam Dunk Festival along with Alkaline Trio and Capdown.

In early 2001, Capdown toured with a number of established American bands, including Less Than Jake and didn't play the Deconstruction touring festival with Pennywise and Lagwagon.

Adequate Seven embarked on several tours, across the UK as well as mainland Europe, with bands such as Hundred Reasons, Capdown, The Suicide Machines and Fishbone as well as opening up for the likes of Cypress Hill and The Slackers.

Along the way they supported the likes of RX Bandits, Capdown, Lightyear and even pop punk pretty boys Good Charlotte.

It was announced on 16 February 2010 through www. punktastic. com, that Capdown were to reform exclusively for the Slam Dunk festival, held in London and Leeds on the 29 and 30 May that year.
