At Acadia University, students have access to the Student Union Building which serves as a hub for students and houses many Student Union organizations.

Outside of Ring Road are the parking lots, Student Union Building, residence buildings, the sports facilities as well as some of the academic facilities that are more self contained ( Law and Theatre for example ).

This led to the development of new buildings such as the Jubilee Sports Hall, Student Services Building and the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research.

The Student Union building was awarded LEED Gold status in August by the U. S. Green Building Council for its sustainability features.

Current construction at University Park includes an independent art museum for the Frost Art Museum, a Graduate Business School Complex, a Molecular Biology Building, a Student Services Building, a Social Sciences Building, a Medical School Complex, and an expansion to FIU Stadium for a seating capacity of 45, 000.

On May 6 Roberta Kathleen Parks left her dormitory at Oregon State University in Corvallis, south of Seattle, to have coffee with friends at the Student Union Building.

The MIT Student Center ( Building W20 ) is located directly across the street, at 84 Massachusetts Avenue.
