The Mole Trilogy is made up of parts I, II ( The Tunes of Two Cities ) and IV ( The Big Bubble: Part Four of The Mole Trilogy ), in addition to releases of related material such as Intermission.
In 1956 Holly's band ( then known informally as Buddy and the Two Tones ( meaning Buddy Holly with Sonny Curtis and Don Guess ), posthumous releases refer to The Three Tunes ) recorded an album's worth of rockabilly numbers in Nashville, Tennessee for Decca ; the records were no more than mildly successful, and the band didn't hit pay dirt until 1957, when producer and recording engineer Norman Petty hosted Holly's sessions in Clovis, New Mexico.
These included ( but are certainly not limited to ) Tom and Jerry, Popeye, Tex Avery cartoons, early Looney Tunes shorts, Two Stupid Dogs ( Cubby making a cameo in one segment when Brak asks if there are any questions from the audience ), shorts from the What-a-Cartoon Show ( including the pilot for Dexter's Laboratory among others ), The Flintstones, The Jetsons, and other classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons.
It was released in 1985, and fleshed out the backstory of the band's " Mole Trilogy ", which had been introduced in Mark of the Mole ( 1981 ) and The Tunes of Two Cities ( 1982 ).
The Big Bubble is similar to The Tunes of Two Cities, as it focuses on the music within the Mole culture.

From 1938 – 1946, every Looney Tunes short ( except for Hare Tonic and Baseball Bugs, with Bugs doing the drum scene instead ) ended with Porky Pig coming out of a drum and saying " th-th-th-that's all folks!
From February 29 – May 18, 2008, many Looney Tunes artifacts, including original animation cells & concept drawings, were on display at the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio, just off the campus of Youngstown State University.
They include the operas Owen Wingrave ( 1970 ) and Death in Venice ( 1971 – 1973 ), the Suite on English Folk Tunes " A Time There Was " ( 1974 ) and Third String Quartet ( 1975 )— which drew on material from Death in Venice — as well as the dramatic cantata Phaedra ( 1975 ), written for Janet Baker.

The cartoon featured Bosko at odds with his animator – portrayed in live-action by Rudy Ising ; impressed Leon Schlesinger, who paired Harman and Ising with Warner Bros. Schlesinger wanted the Bosko character to star in a new series of cartoons he dubbed Looney Tunes ( the title being a parody of Walt Disney's Silly Symphonies ).
In 1942, Schlesinger began producing Looney Tunes in color as well, and the two series became virtually indistinguishable except by their theme music and opening titles – in addition, characters once exclusive to one series began regularly appearing in the other as well.
Beginning in the 1956 – 57 season, " Blue Ribbon " reissues ( of other cartoons in the post-July 1948 package ) retained the original opening titles and technical credits ( the aforementioned Mighty Hunters having been a precedent ), with some of the cartoons indicating their original Looney Tunes issue if the opening and closing theme was " The Merry Go-Round Broke Down.

Pussyfoot has appeared in some recent Warner Bros. merchandising, however, and the pair have been featured in various Warner Bros. productions, such as the third segment of the 1982 Twilight Zone movie, and a 1999 Looney Tunes comic book story called " Bringing Up Baby ".
