This process began because Trip had trouble sleeping ( due to his sister's death when the Xindi first attacked earth with a prototype of the Xindi weapon ).

In the early years of Starfleet, as seen in Star Trek: Enterprise, Starfleet's mission is purely exploration and is not military in any sense except for weapons designed for defensive capabilities until the retrofitting of the Enterprise ( NX-01 ) and the incorporation of MACOs ( Military Assault Command Operations ) after the Xindi attack on Earth.

On the occasions when Archer was thought killed, T ' Pol showed her affection for him to the point of crying during the Xindi mission when she believes he has been killed in Azati Prime.

The Xindi is the collective term for six fictional races in the science fiction television series Star Trek: Enterprise.

With the help of the Sphere Builders, the Reptilians and Insectoids took control of the finished Xindi weapon and set on a course for Earth, thus beginning a new civil war between the Xindi species.

An Andorian vessel, commanded by Shran, unexpectedly entered the fray and engaged the Reptilian vessel, which provided enough cover for the Humans to board the Xindi weapon and destroy it.

The Xindi have a saying, " It's easier to count the stars than it is for an Aquatic to reach a decision.

Along with the Insectoids, they are responsible for the destruction of the Xindi Homeworld.

It was formed to find a new homeworld for all the Xindi races.

At this point, Archer, who has been awake for several days, orders the transfer of one-third of Enterprises antimatter supply to the Xindi ship so that its power can be restored.

Archer returns to the present and departs for his mission to destroy the Xindi weapon.

They enter the vortex created by the Xindi weapon, which is headed for Earth under the escort of a powerful Xindi Reptilian ship.

She is also angry at herself for having been compelled to reveal the third access code to the Xindi weapon.

On his deathbed, however, Kessick imparts coordinates for the Xindi homeworld.

In the meantime, Starfleet's flagship vessel, Enterprise, has completed repairs for damages suffered during the war with the Xindi.

Later, he wakes in his apartment, and thinking Archer and T ' Pol are police officers, Loomis admits delivering six out of eight bodies to his employers, one for each blood type, for which the Xindi pay him a lot of money.

After Enterprise arrives at a Xindi colony, Captain Archer, Lt. Reed and Major Hayes sneak onto the planet for a reconnaissance mission of a facility producing a substance crucial to the Xindi weapon.

Realizing that the captain is willing to torture and kill for this information, Orgoth finally relents, revealing that the Osaarians took more than food and supplies from the Xindi ; they downloaded the Xindi database.

The Xindi came to revere these creatures, whom they called the ' Guardians ,' and following their guidance, launched a preemptive strike on Earth as a precursor to a genocidal second attack.

Season three introduces the Xindi, an enemy bent on annihilating humanity via a planet-destroying super weapon.

Following the Xindi attack on Earth in 2153, Archer becomes a changed man.

While on his mission to locate the Xindi, Archer is briefly transformed into a member of the extinct Loque ' eque by a mutagenic virus.

In 2153, after being ordered to leave the Enterprise and return to Vulcan, T ' Pol resigned her commission with the Vulcan High Command in order to accompany the crew of the Enterprise into the Delphic Expanse to find the Xindi, a mysterious race accused of killing seven million humans on Earth.

The Xindi are collectively a race of six different intelligent species which evolved simultaneously on the same planet ( Xindus ).

As a whole, they have a passionate desire to establish a new homeworld and unify all Xindi, but differ greatly on how to accomplish this and on who should hold the ultimate reins of power.

The Xindi spent the early part of 2153 deciding how to confront the threat of humanity and planned a biological weapon based on the Human genetic profile.

This was ultimately rejected by the Xindi Council ( the Reptilians went along with the bio weapon but were eventually foiled ) and so they worked on a weapon to blow up Earth.

Captain Archer decides to do so, and when they arrive, Tarquin demands that Ensign Sato stay with him while he examines the Xindi device found on Earth.

In 2153, Tucker lost his sister, Elizabeth, in the Xindi attack on Earth which destroyed his hometown of Panama City, Florida.

Phlox sees something on the hull and later, an enemy Xindi.

Captain Archer discovers an insectoid egg hatchery on a downed Xindi ship and becomes obsessed with protecting the eggs.

Meanwhile, Enterprise discovers a small facility on the moon, containing three Xindi, unable to communicate with their home planet due to the moon's rotation.

As part of the Exchange, he corresponds regularly with his human counterpart on Denobula Triaxa, Dr. Lucas ( After the Xindi attack on Earth, Lucas was recalled from Denobula and transferred to the Earth Cryogenic Storage Facility known as Cold Station 12 ).

This defensive system was upgraded by Starfleet during the NX-01's refit following the Xindi attack on Earth (" The Expanse ").

As such, the plan is to deposit Archer, Reed, Sato, and the MACOs on the Xindi weapon and avoid space conflict.

Archer feels an immense amount of pressure concerning his mission, especially when hunting the Xindi to save Earth from destruction.

Enterprise travels through an area known as the Delphic Expanse to find the Xindi homeworld and prevent another attack against Earth.

They wanted the Xindi, who revered them as " the Guardians ," to destroy Earth in the hope that this would deter the formation and existence of the Federation.

* " Zero Hour "-Crucial in the destruction of Xindi superweapon before Earth is destroyed.

Later, he is infected by subspace parasites, creating an alternate timeline in which the Enterprises mission fails and the Xindi succeed in destroying Earth.

One faction, the Sphere Builders, who were defeated by the Federation during the 26th century, convinced the Xindi to destroy Earth: no Earth, no Federation, no one to stop them.

The Xindi's presence was established in the second-season finale of Star Trek: Enterprise, " The Expanse ", in which the Xindi launched a probe that attacked Earth in April 2153, killing 7 million people in a narrow strip of destruction stretching from Florida to Venezuela.

The pursuing vessel caught up with the Xindi weapon near Earth.

Aquatic warships are huge and one of them was depicted carrying the Enterprise NX-01 to Earth inside a chamber within the vessel after the Xindi weapon was destroyed.

They are the most aggressive race of Xindi and seem to be more interested than the other races in destroying Earth.

The next year, Andorian commander Shran helped counter the Xindi threat to Earth.

In one alternate timeline seen during the Xindi mission in which Enterprise becomes a generational ship unable to return to Earth, Reed dies without leaving any heirs, having been unable to find a mate.

The Andorians claim they are interested in helping Enterprise in its mission to subvert the deployment of a Xindi weapon against Earth, in the interest of forming a close alliance with humanity.

On the first episode of the third season Earth was attacked by an alien race called the Xindi.
