In the political mess, even when Sun Yat-sen was announced as President, Xu Shichang was also announced as President of the Republic of China.

In the 2009 mainland China movie " The Founding of a Republic " ( 建國大業 ), She was portrayed by Xu Qing.

Xu Shichang (, Styled Ju-ren ) or ( October 20, 1855 – June 5, 1939 ) was President of the Republic of China ( Beijing government ) from October 10, 1918 to June 2, 1922.

After the establishment of the People's Republic of China, Xu held the position of ambassador in the Foreign Ministry.

He forced the resignations of both Xu Shichang and Li Yuanhong and was president of the Republic of China ( in Beijing ) from October 10, 1923 to November 2, 1924.

They included Zhang Xun ( who attempted to restore the Qing dynasty in 1917 ), Xu Shichang ( President of the Republic of China 1918 – 22 ), Cao Kun ( President 1922 – 24 and leader of the Zhili military clique ), Duan Qirui (" Prime Minister " during much of 1916 – 20 and leader of the Anhui military clique ) and Feng Guozhang ( President 1917 – 18 and founder of the Zhili clique ).

Xu Caihou (; born June 1943 in Wafangdian, Dalian, Liaoning ) is one of three vice chairmen of the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China along with Guo Boxiong.

Xu Yongyue (; born July 1942 in Zhenping County, Nanyang, Henan ) was the Minister of State Security of the People's Republic of China ( from 1998-August 31, 2007 ) and is a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China ( CPC ) ( since 2002 ).

The work resulted in Xu losing favour with the communist government of the People's Republic of China and being vilified by some official critics as a " bourgeois liberal ".

According to an oral tradition dictated by Xu Xin, Director of the Center for Judaic Studies at Nanjing University, in his book Legends of the Chinese Jews of Kaifeng, the Kaifeng Jews called Judaism Yīcìlèyè jiào ( 一賜樂業教 ), lit.

At an October 4, 2007 ceremony, Xu received an honorary Doctor of Engineering degree from the Polytechnic University of New York.

On June 28, 2011, Xu received an honorary Doctor of Engineering degree from the City University of Hong Kong.

Author Xu Dishan, who taught at Hong Kong University, is the most famous of these.
