The construction of the industrial section of Kista began in the 1970s with companies such as SRA ( Svenska Radioaktiebolaget, now a part of Ericsson ), RIFA AB ( later Ericsson Components AB, and later still Ericsson Microelectronics AB, and now Infineon Technologies ), and IBM Svenska AB ( the Swedish branch of IBM ).

Lars Magnus Ericsson ( 5 May 1846 – 17 December 1926 ) was a Swedish inventor, entrepreneur and founder of telephone equipment manufacturer Ericsson ( incorporated as Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson ).

Astrid Anna Emilia Lindgren ( née Ericsson ) (), 14 November 1907 – 28 January 2002 ) was a Swedish author and screenwriter.

She had two sisters and a brother, Gunnar Ericsson, who eventually became a member of the Swedish parliament.

" Bluetooth " now commonly refers to the Bluetooth wireless specification designed by Ericsson, the major Swedish telecommunications organization, to enable cable-free connections between computers, mobile phones, PDAs, printers, etc.

In 1950, the Ericsson Swedish company developed their own versions of the 1XB and A204 systems for the international market.

Sweden created a successful model of democratic socialism because of the unique way in which Sweden's labor leaders, politicians, and classes cooperated during the early development period of Swedish social democracy.

When the Social Democratic Party came into power in 1932, its leaders introduced a new political decision-making process, which later became known as " the Swedish model.

It was little used in America, but the Televerket Swedish governmental agency manufactured an own design ( the Gotthilf Betulander design from 1919, inspired by the Western Electric system ), and used it in Sweden from 1926 until the digitalization in the 1980s in small and medium sized A204 model switches.

In 1945, a similar design by Swedish Televerket was installed in Sweden, making it possible to increase the capacity of the A204 model switch.

Arguably, the subsequent budget cut-backs agreement with the Social Democrats, and after 1994, continued spending cuts by the Social Democratic government, did more to reform the Swedish economy and the Swedish model, than Bildt's governments programme as such.
