* In episode 2, season 4 of " How I Met Your Mother ", entitled " The Best Burger in New York ", Marshall's description of the taste of the best burger uses music that alludes to the 1984 film " Amadeus ", when Antonio Salieri describes the same music ( by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ) with the same accuracy and passion with which Marshall speaks of the burger.

* In episode 17, season 5 of " Family Guy ", entitled " It Takes a Village Idiot, and I Married One ", the Griffin family is wearing powdered wigs in their living room and Stewie Griffin begins playing several classical compositions, including those by Joseph Haydn and George Frideric Handel, when Peter Griffin, as Salieri, says " Play Peter Griffin ", alluding to the 1984 film Amadeus, when the disguised Salieri character requests that Mozart imitate his compositional style.

His grandfather, Thomas Francis, founder of the Carignano line of the House of Savoy, was the son of Catherine Michelle – a daughter of Philip II of Spain – and the great-grandson of the Emperor Charles V. But of more immediate consequence to Leopold I was the fact that Eugene was the second cousin of Victor Amadeus, the Duke of Savoy, a connection that the Emperor hoped might prove useful in any future confrontation with France.

His maternal grandparents were Victor Amadeus I of Savoy and Christine Marie of France, daughter of King Henri le Grand.

In this document he is called " Count of Belley " ( comes Bellicensium ), but it is almost certainly the same Count Amadeus as the son of Humbert I.

He was son of Humbert, the first Count of Savoy, and his wife Ancilla of Lenzburg, and ascended the throne after the death of his elder brother, Amadeus I of Savoy.

Peter I ( c. 1048 – July 9, 1078 ) was count of Savoy and margrave of Turin jointly with his brother Amadeus II of Savoy from c. 1060 to 1078.

In 1074 Pope Gregory VII was trying to persuade William I, Count of Burgundy, to remember this vow and, with Amadeus and others, go to the defence of the Roman Empire in the East against the Seljuk Turks.

The Chronicon Altacumbae says only that " the wife of Amadeus from Burgundy ", which might refer to Amadeus I.

Boniface and his elder brother Amadeus IV, Count of Savoy, were sons of Thomas I, Count of Savoy, and Margaret of Geneva.

However, it so happened that Philip I, the last surviving brother of Thomas, made Thomas ' younger son Amadeus his heir in Savoy, leaving the elder son, Thomas, and the genealogically senior line descending from him out of the Savoy succession.

Amadeus was born at Le Bourget-du-Lac, and succeeded his childless paternal uncle Philip I, Count of Savoy as Count of Savoy in 1285.

Amadeus died shortly after 1051 and, according to fourteenth-century sources, was buried in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne.

On 9 August 1078 Peter died and Amadeus succeeded him as Count of Savoy, but in the March of Turin, where Peter had co-ruled with their mother, Amadeus was never margrave, although the reason for this is unclear.

Amadeus died in Turin on 26 January 1080, according to the necrology of the church of Saint Andrew there.

On the journey, Amadeus fell ill on Cyprus, and died at Nicosia in April 1148.

Although he was the next brother of Amadeus IV, he never became the Count of Savoy because he predeceased his nephew, who himself died without sons to succeed him.

He appointed his nephew, Amadeus, as his successor, and died childless in Roussillon in 1285.

Amadeus was a younger brother of Thomas III of Piedmont, who had died in 1282.

King Victor Amadeus died in September 1732 and was buried in the Convent of San Giuseppe di Carignano.

Victor Amadeus organised the first two marriages of Charles Emmanuel the first one being to Anne Christine of Sulzbach, daughter of the Count Palatine of Sulzbach which produced a son which died in infancy.

He was the eldest son of his parents and was the heir apparent from birth which was greeted with much celebration – his father had had a son with his first wife also named Victor Amadeus, Duke of Aosta who died in 1725.

His first wife was Beatrice, daughter of Amadeus IV, count of Savoy, by whom he had a daughter, Constance, who became the wife of King Peter III of Aragon ; his second wife, who died in prison in 1271, was Helena Angelina Doukaina, daughter of Michael II Komnenos Doukas, ruler of the despotate of Epirus, who made this marriage to ally with Manfred after being attacked by him at Thessalonica.

Amadeus fell ill and died in Molise on 1 March 1383, and his troops abandoned the field.

In 1834 his mother's brother-in-law Landgrave Viktor Amadeus of Hesse-Rotenburg died, leaving his estates to his nephews.

He was nicknamed " the Spanish Mozart " after he died, because, like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, he was both a child prodigy and an accomplished composer who died young.
