:: Example 1 ( parliamentary monarchy ): Article 96 of the Constitution of Belgium:

Article 96 of the PRC Law on Food Safety adopted on February 28, 2009 raises the punitive damages to ten times the purchase price additional to the compensatory damages that the victim has already claimed from the producer or seller for food with poor quality not compliant to food safety standards.

Article 96 authorises the establishment by federal law of the Federal Patent Court, of federal military criminal courts having jurisdiction only in a state of defence or on soldiers serving abroad, and of a federal disciplinary court.

Amendments require approval by two-thirds of the members of both houses of the National Diet before they can be presented to the people in a referendum ( Article 96 ).

Article 96 provides that amendments can be made to any part of the constitution.

* Changes to Article 96, reducing the vote requirement for constitutional amendments in the Diet from two thirds to a simple majority.

Under Russia's 1993 constitution, there are 450 deputies of the State Duma ( Article 95 ), each elected to a term of four years ( Article 96 ); this was changed to a five-year term in late 2008.

They do not have access to the Article 26D ( former 96 ) data, because they do not intend to remove the border controls between themselves and the rest of Europe.

According to Article 96 of the constitution, the Guardian Council holds veto power over all legislation approved by the Majlis.

How explicit such factors have been historically is evident in any chronology of restrictive covenant cases or in a review of NAREB's Code of Ethics Article 34 in the Code, adopted in 1924, states that `` a Realtor should never be instrumental in introducing into a neighborhood a character of property or occupancy, members of any race or nationality or any individuals whose presence will clearly be detrimental to property values in that neighborhood ''.

St Thomas Aquinas in the Summa Theologica, II: II Quaestio 25, Article 4 states that we should love our neighbour more than our ourselves.

* Article 8 – Allows for jurisdiction over observers and scientists by their own states ;

* Article 10 – All treaty states will discourage activities by any country in Antarctica that are contrary to the treaty ;

The Tokyo Convention states in Article 11, defining the so-called unlawful takeover of an aircraft, that the parties signing the agreement are obliged, in case of hijacking or a threat of it, to take all the necessary measures in order to regain or keep control over an aircraft.

Article 25 of the Thirty-Nine Articles, speaking of the sacraments, says: " Those five commonly called Sacraments, that is to say, Confirmation, Penance, Orders, Matrimony, and extreme Unction, are not to be counted for Sacraments of the Gospel, being such as have grown partly of the corrupt following of the Apostles, partly are states of life allowed in the Scriptures ; but yet have not like nature of Sacraments with Baptism, and the Lord's Supper, for that they have not any visible sign or ceremony ordained of God.

Indeed, the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms in Article 6 requires these features in the legal systems of its signatory states.

This is provided for in Article II of the Constitution, which states that the President " shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint ... Judges of the supreme Court.

To consider but one example, the First Amendment to the United States Constitution states " Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof "— but interpretation ( that is, determining the fine boundaries, and resolving the tension between the " establishment " and " free exercise " clauses ) of each of the important terms was delegated by Article III of the Constitution to the judicial branch, so that the current legal boundaries of the Constitutional text can only be determined by consulting the common law.

In the European Union member states, Article 2 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union prohibits the use of capital punishment.

For example, the Case or Controversy Clause of Article Three of the United States Constitution ( Section 2, Clause 1 ) states that " the judicial Power shall extend ... to Controversies to which the United States shall be a Party ".

The Constitution of Japan states in Article 39 that

Signatory states to the Convention can only derogate from the rights contained in Article 2 for deaths which result from lawful acts of war.

The Court has ruled that states have three main duties under Article 2:

Article 15 allows contracting states to derogate from certain rights guaranteed by the Convention in time of " war or other public emergency threatening the life of the nation ".

The Court is quite permissive in accepting a state's derogations from the Convention but applies a higher degree of scrutiny in deciding whether measures taken by states under a derogation are, in the words of Article 15, " strictly required by the exigencies of the situation ".

Article 9 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that, " No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile.

Article 4 also states that these duties can be delegated by the Emperor as provided for by law.

Under clause 17 Article I Section 8 of the Constitution however, Congress has power to " exercise exclusive Legislation in all cases whatsoever " over the federal district ( Washington, D. C .) and other territory ceded to the federal government by the states, such as for military installations.

In accordance with Article 151 of the Basic Law, Hong Kong concluded over 20 agreements with foreign states in 2010 on matters such as economic and financial co-operation, maritime technical co-operation, postal co-operation and co-operationon wine-related businesses.

Hydrocodone is regulated in the same fashion as in Germany ( see below ) under the Austrian Suchtmittelgesetz ; since 2002 it has been available in the form of German products and those produced elsewhere in the European Union under Article 76 of the Schengen Treaty — prior to this, no Austrian companies produced hydrocodone products, with dihydrocodeine and nicomorphine being more commonly used for the same levels of pain and the former for coughing.

Under Article 217 of the Criminal procedure Code of Georgia, the prosecutor is obliged, to consult with the victim prior concluding the plea agreement and inform him / her about this.

The first clause of the Article provides that debts contracted prior to the adoption of the Constitution remain valid, as they were under the Articles of Confederation.

Article 91 states that the Kingdom shall not be bound by treaty without prior approval of the States-General, except for those cases where law determines no such approval is necessary.

This is further covered by Article 132: the standard organisation of provinces and municipalities and the composition and competence of their administrative organs is regulated by formal law ( Subarticle 1 ); how they are controlled is regulated by law ( Subarticle 2 ); their decisions shall only be subject to prior supervision in cases determined by law or by force of law ( Subarticle 3 ); their decisions shall only be quashed by Royal Decree and on grounds that they violate the law ( in the broadest sense: the recht ) or conflict with the public interest ( Subarticle 4 ).

Any powers and responsibilities transferred to the Palestinians through the Declaration of Principles prior to the inauguration of the Council will be subject to the same principles pertaining to Article IV, as set out in the agreed minutes below.

The United States has made reservations that none of the articles should restrict the right of free speech and association ; that the US government may impose capital punishment on any person other than a pregnant woman, including persons below the age of 18 ; that " cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment or punishment " refers to those treatments or punishments prohibited by the Fifth, Eighth and / or Fourteenth Amendments to the US Constitution ; that Paragraph 1, Article 15 will not apply ; and that, notwithstanding paragraphs 2 ( b ) and 3 of Article 10 and paragraph 4 of Article 14, the US government may treat juveniles as adults, and accept volunteers to the military prior to the age of 18.

Article 2. specified: " Measures concerning the international relations of the Principality shall always be the subject of prior consultations between the Government of the Principality and the French Government.

Article 40. 2. 1 of the Constitution of Ireland prohibits the conferral of a new title of nobility by the State, and Article 40. 2. 2 prohibits acceptance by any citizen of any title of nobility or of honour " without the prior approval of the Government.

Article 50 of the Constitution of Ireland carried over all laws that had been in force in the Irish Free State prior to its coming into force on 29 December 1937.

The decree invoked the President's power under Article 48 of the Weimar Constitution, which allowed him to take any appropriate measure to remedy dangers to public safety without the prior consent of the Reichstag.

* Article II Section 1 ( 7 ) of the Confederate Constitution provides citizenship to people " born in the United States prior to the 20th of December, 1860 " it also requires candidates for the President of the Confederacy to have resided " within the limits of the Confederate States " for 14 years.

Article 15 of the Arab Charter on Human Rights provides that " o crime and no penalty can be established without a prior provision of the law.

The Constitution of Ireland provides, " Titles of nobility shall not be conferred by the State " ( Article 40. 1 ) and " No title of nobility or of honour may be accepted by any citizen except with the prior approval of the Government " ( Article 40. 2 ).

* Citizen referendum prior to enactment of any statute which specifically affects the LPE ( Article 95 )

Article III, Section 7 of the Hawaii Constitution state that members of the Hawaii Senate must have been a resident of Hawaii for more than three years, have attained the age of majority and must, prior to filing nomination papers and thereafter continue to be, a qualified voter of the senate district from which the person seeks to be elected.

The X Article took the information presented in the two prior reports and constructed a road map for the Cold War.

Therefore it is defined in the convention as ' other power ' and the occupation of the settlement ( at Port Louis ) by subjects of any other power negated Article VI and allowed Great Britain to re-assert prior sovereignty and form new settlements.

Article 5: ( Non-scheduled flights over State's Territory ): The aircraft of states, other than scheduled international air services, have the right to make flights across state's territories and to make stops without obtaining prior permission.

Article 48 of the constitution of the Weimar Republic of Germany ( 1919 – 1933 ) allowed the President, under certain circumstances, to take emergency measures without the prior consent of the Reichstag.
