Barton Turf is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk.

The broad is situated to the south and east of the village of Barton Turf, and is within the parish of Barton Turf.

The channels either side lead to Barton Turf staithe and its boatyard.

Thanks to such leaders as Barton W. Stone ( 1772 – 1844 ) and Alexander Campbell ( 1788 – 1866 ), the camp meeting revival became a major mode of church expansion for the Methodists and Baptists.

: In the parish church are memorials of the families of Duncombe, Barton, Pauncefort, and Chase.

Early in 1862 it appears that Barton extended his own house to accommodate the church missionaries as well as donating land for the establishment of a church.

Joan died 27 August 1611 " aged 74 " and was buried at the church of Steeple Barton in Oxfordshire.
