The 2004 PDL Championship game saw Boulder taking on Southern Conference champions Central Florida Kraze, where they unfortunately fell 1-0 in a close game, but finishing as national runners up for the second time was still a worthy achievement for the Colorado team.

For the second year, Boulder were one of the favoites to progress in the playoffs but, yet again, they fell at the first hurdle, being comprehensively beaten 4-0 by Michigan Bucks for the second year in a row.
