The animator draws a door in front of him and closes it on him, then the camera draws back to reveal Bugs Bunny at a drawing table, who says to the camera, " Ain't I a stinker?

Animator Virgil Ross used it in his short Slick Hare, featuring Bugs Bunny, who escapes from Elmer Fudd by hiding in the fruit hat.

Other cartoons dumbed Porky down and cast him as a duck hunter after Daffy, largely paralleling the Elmer Fudd / Bugs Bunny pairings.

Porky appeared in the movie Space Jam and collaborates with Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd and Sylvester in challenging the Nerdlucks to a basketball game.

The cartoon's plot was essentially replicated in one of Jones ' later cartoons, Rabbit Rampage ( 1955 ), in which Bugs Bunny turns out to be the victim of the silly animator ( Elmer Fudd ).

The Big Snooze was his final cartoon with the studio, and one for which he did not get screen credit ( only one of three he directed pitting Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd ).

Along with Elmer Fudd, he is the de facto archenemy of Bugs Bunny.

Until then, Bugs ' major foe had been Elmer Fudd, a man so mild-mannered and dim-witted that Freleng thought Bugs actually came off as a bully by duping him.

Sam is significantly tougher and more aggressive than Elmer Fudd when challenging Bugs Bunny.

In addition, several new characters were created to ( initially ) appear exclusively in the Merrie Melodies series, such as Egghead ( who became Elmer Fudd ), Inki, Sniffles, and even Warner Bros .' most popular cartoon star, Bugs Bunny.

Along with several characters, including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, or Porky Pig, all voiced by Mel Blanc, one of Warner's early big stars was Bryan's Elmer Fudd.

The slow-talking, slower-witted, enunciation-challenged Mr. Fudd is a game hunter whose Brooklynesque speech ( courtesy of Bryan's own childhood upbringing in the borough ) was exaggerated for memorable effect by his habitual substitution of W for the letters L and R, an effect further immortalized by the tongue-in-cheek screen credits of the 1941 Bugs Bunny short Wabbit Twouble.

But fat or slimmed, Bryan's Fudd was so popular that the character's shorts were used to create and develop the character of Bugs Bunny, with the first official Bugs Bunny appearance coming in the Fudd cartoon, A Wild Hare.

Playing Doc Gamble, Bryan was a polar opposite of the Fudd character — Gamble was well-spoken, even-tempered, and usually got the best of McGee, which Elmer could never do with Bugs.

West's most notable film work was in Space Jam ( 1996 ) providing the voice of both Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd.

He has become one of few voice actors who can impersonate Mel Blanc in his prime, including characterizations of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd and other characters from Warner Bros. cartoons.

As an animator, Friz Freleng enjoyed creating new adversaries for Warners ' star Bugs Bunny, since he felt that Bugs ' other nemeses, such as Beaky Buzzard and Elmer Fudd ( who actually appeared in many more Freleng shorts than is commonly realized ), were too stupid to give the rabbit any real challenge.

In the third mystery the plot involves Encyclopedia's partner, close friend and bodyguard, Sally Kimball, the one person under twelve years of age to physically stand up to Bugs.

As Bugs walks away from the castle, the dragon sneezes again, and the tower Sam and the dragon are in takes off like a rocket, flying towards the moon ( Sam glares at the befuddled dragon and says, " Dragons is so stupid !").

Bugs repairs everything except one tire and says that they're stuck.

Bugs then shoots Mugsy, who stumbles into the room where Rocky is and says " I let him have it boss, just like you said ," and faints landing on top of Rocky, who punches him to get him off.

Bugs ducks into a haystack, and soon comes face to face with a Japanese soldier ; a short, bucked tooth, monkey-footed Japanese man who says his ' Ls ' as ' Rs ' and who might be rapidly stating the names of Japanese cities whenever he moves.

When the soldier tries to pull Bugs out, Bugs appears as a Japanese general ( presumably Hideki Tojo ), but is soon recognized by his trademark carrot eating, prompting one soldier ( who says he saw Bugs in the " Warner Bros. Leon Schlesinger Merrie Melodies cartoon pictures ", referring to the fact that Bugs was originally exclusive to that series ) to ask him " What's up, Honorable Doc?

The song Jingle Bells plays in the background, and Bugs says to the astonished Elmer: " Merry Christmas, Santy !".

" But the scientist laughs and says that the ingredients Bugs mentioned about are the formula for a chocolate malt ( upon drinking the mixture Bugs realizes, " I'm a better scientist than I thought ").

* The aftermath of the explosion in the dynamite shack sequence where Hillbilly # 1 comes out with Bugs ' lit lighter and says: " I think y'all are usin ' too strong a fluid!

When an annoyed Bugs points out that the " War Between the States " ended nearly 90 years ago, Sam says that " I ain't no clock watcher!

Bugs then looks at the camera, smirks, and says in the same way as his catchphrase, " Eh, next!

Bugs naively says " You mean I can have that, and plenty more?

Bugs turns to the camera and says " This looks like a job for a REAL Superman!

Awaiting certain death ( he writes a will and says his last prayers ), Bugs miraculously opens the gates like a garage door, sending Toro out of the bullring and into the horizon.

Duck Amuck is included in the compilation film The Bugs Bunny / Road Runner Movie, along with other favorite Chuck Jones cartoons including What's Opera, Doc?

Bugs tells the audience: " Looks like Doc is a victim of fowl play!

But when this short was screened in theaters, the scene of Bugs calmly chewing a carrot, followed by the nonchalant " What's Up, Doc?

Animation and producer Sam Register, the concept revolves around Bugs and Daffy leaving the woods and moving to the suburbs with " colorful neighbors " including Sylvester and Tweety, Granny, and of course Yosemite Sam.

Haradaway's nickname around Termite Terrace ( the ramshackle building where the Looney Tunes were originally produced ) was " Bugs ," and the bunny prototype's first model sheet was labeled " Bugs ' Bunny "-- the apostrophe was later dropped.

Sam next lassos a rope around one of the battlements of the castle, but as he is climbing up, Bugs whacks a mallet on Sam's helmet, causing Sam to side down the rope outside of his armor.

Next, Bugs saws a circle around Rocky's chair, only letting him see the tool near the end.

By the time they turn around and see where Bugs is, Bugs blasts Rocky again and turns out the light.

Bugs and Daffy flee playfully around the museum, leaping through various famous paintings until Elmer is defeated by Bugs via a fan when he jumps out of a Pointillism painting.

" Top Secret Apprentice ", a segment of the Tiny Toons Adventures episode broadcast on February 1, 1991, is a modern version of the story, with Buster Bunny messing around with Bugs Bunny's cartoon scenery machine and getting himself into a big heap of trouble.

In the film, Klendathu is shown as dark blue with two moons around it, with no structures visible ( perhaps to add to the portrayal of the Bugs as mindless brain-eaters ).

Bugs and Elmer raise their chairs to dizzying heights, and Bugs cuts loose a stage sandbag which bonks Elmer, causing Elmer to wander around in a daze until he's back ( yet again ) in Bugs ' barber chair.

She is also incredibly seductive in her behaviour, quite capable of easily charming men around her ( as displayed with the other Looney Tunes in her first appearance in the movie but with none more so than Bugs Bunny himself, her love interest and boyfriend ).

Bugs ' arm reaches out of the hole, feels around, and snatches the carrot.

Much like the Joe Camel controversy around the time of the frogs popularity, a 1996 study showed that children often recognized the Budweiser frogs as much as other ad icons like Ronald McDonald and Tony the Tiger, as well as other cartoon characters like Bugs Bunny.

While Toro sharpens his horns, Bugs interrupts him by placing an elastic band around the horns and using it as a giant slingshot to smack him in the face with a boulder.

The 2008 season saw two further developments, a family water attraction called Yogi Bear and Bubu and a new show, The Music of Bugs Bunny, based around the glamor of Hollywood in a performance reminiscent of the great Broadway musicals.
