The animator draws a door in front of him and closes it on him, then the camera draws back to reveal Bugs Bunny at a drawing table, who says to the camera, " Ain't I a stinker?

Until then, Bugs ' major foe had been Elmer Fudd, a man so mild-mannered and dim-witted that Freleng thought Bugs actually came off as a bully by duping him.

Hazel then chases Bugs and soon captures him by tricking him with a carrot.

Bugs then tried to calm her down with a beverage ( the Pretty Potion from earlier ).

Bugs then calls " Air Raid Headquarters " about them.

Bugs at first laughs at the idea, then starts crying.

Bugs then runs back to the castle and raises the drawbridge as Sam approaches, causing Sam to fall into the moat.

" Sam then uses the dragon to pull a catapult in place, gets on it and launches himself to the castle-but misses the window Bugs is looking out of, flattening himself on his front ( In a " cramped " voice, Sam declares: " You'll pay for this, varmint !").

Bugs then runs back into the castle, followed by Sam and the dragon.

Bugs runs into a room, Sam and the dragon follow, then Bugs sneaks out and locks the door to what is now shown as the explosives room.

Later, the mechanical shoe kicks Elmer multiple times, then a mechanical boxing glove punches him in the face, than a mechanical hand holding a giant mallet smashes him, then he gets kicked by mechanical shoe again, Bugs adjusts the system to " GOOOAAAL!

But then Bugs recognizes Lola in her room.

Bugs then pulls out the remote to Elmer's alarm system, adjusting it to " Heads Up!

Lola then kisses Bugs multiple times then the cartoon closes.

The cartoon then shows live-action footage of the entire War Department mobilising against Bugs, although the War Department was replaced by the Department of Defense two years before this cartoon.

Bugs then dives into a fox hole as artillery shells surround the foxhole.

Bugs then thinks he's gone too far.

Bugs has then ended up imprisoned on Alcatraz Island.

Rocky then has Hugo take Bugs for a ride, which he gladly accepts, claiming " I could use a breath of fresh air!

Bugs then poses as Mugsy, another gangster ( flipping a coin like George Raft ), who threatens that " It's curtains for you, Rocky " as if he is going to execute Rocky, and then pulls an actual set of curtains from inside his jacket and hangs them over Rocky's head (" Aw, they're adorable ", Rocky purrs ).

A running gag is that when Bugs Bunny hears of the approach of " Taz " and looks him up in an encyclopedia and starts reading off a list of animals that " Taz " eats ; Bugs finds " rabbits " not listed until " Taz " enters and either points out that " rabbits " are listed or writes rabbits on the list.

However, some artists commented that she looks too much like Bugs in drag and they decided to change her look.

The 1942 cartoon, Hold the Lion, Please, depicts Bugs married to a female rabbit ( credited as Mrs. Bugs Bunny ) who looks identical to him except for a bow in her hair and a yellow dress.

When Elmer finds Bugs, Bugs is seen taunting a snowman that looks exactly like him by saying, " So you call yourself a Mountie!

Bugs then steps out from behind a stage door, dressed in a barber's outfit, and ropes Elmer into getting a shave, rendering him " nice and clean " at the expense of the integrity of Elmer's facial features (" although your face looks like it might have gone through a machine ").

Bugs then looks at the camera, smirks, and says in the same way as his catchphrase, " Eh, next!

Daffy then quits his new job and Bugs decides to add in the subtitle, saying it looks " a little skimpy ".

Bugs turns to the camera and says " This looks like a job for a REAL Superman!

Bugs looks at his watch and notices that he is late for filming in a film that was written with him in mind.

Jones also produced the 1979 film The Bugs Bunny / Road Runner Movie which was a compilation of Jones ' best theatrical shorts ; Jones produced new Road Runner shorts for The Electric Company series and Bugs Bunny's Looney Christmas Tales ( 1979 ), and even newer shorts were made for Bugs Bunny's Bustin ' Out All Over ( 1980 ).

On December 11, 1975, shortly after the release of Bugs Bunny Superstar, which prominently featured Bob Clampett, Jones wrote a letter to Tex Avery, accusing Clampett of taking credit for ideas that were not his.

The rabbit as trickster appears in American popular culture ; for example the Br ' er Rabbit character from African-American folktales and Disney animation ; and the Warner Bros. cartoon character Bugs Bunny.

Bugs Moran's muscling in on a Capone-run dog track in the Chicago suburbs, his takeover of several Capone-owned saloons that he insisted were in his territory, and the general rivalry between Moran and Capone for complete control of the lucrative Chicago bootlegging business were probable contributing factors to this incident.

From 1938 – 1946, every Looney Tunes short ( except for Hare Tonic and Baseball Bugs, with Bugs doing the drum scene instead ) ended with Porky Pig coming out of a drum and saying " th-th-th-that's all folks!

The film also introduced the character Lola Bunny, who subsequently became another recurring member of the Looney Tunes, usually as a love interest for Bugs.

A handful of Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts are no longer aired on American television nor are they available for sale by Warner Bros. because of the racial stereotypes of black people, Jews, Native Americans, Asians such as Japanese ( especially during WWII, as in Tokio Jokio and Bugs Bunny Nips the Nips ), Chinese and Germans included in some of the cartoons.

When Daffy demands to know who is responsible for the changes, the camera pulls back to reveal none other than Bugs Bunny.

Friz Freleng used the Jones idea for Daffy in " Show Biz Bugs " ( 1957 ) wherein Daffy's " trained " pigeon act ( they all fly away as soon as Daffy opens their cage ) and complicated tap dance number are answered by nothing but crickets chirping in the audience, whereas Bugs's simple song-and-dance numbers bring wild applause.

Unlike Bugs and their neighbors, Daffy has no way of earning money and relies on Bugs for food and shelter.
